The Sunrise Mall
The mall was a 80s designed mall in Corpus Christi, Texas that was a pinnacle of 80s mall culture during it's peak. The memories, nostalgia and design of the mall can never be replicated in today's age of boring minimalist design and sterile interiors. It had a charm about it. Even if most of the time as of late it had been vacant. The wood glass balcony's, the gritty pillars, the spot lights, the water fountains and fake plants, the true neon signs, the nautical food court with the fake lights and ship wheel and mermaid. The dollar theater, the old school arcade, the military surplus, the affordable shoes store and the Wendy's. A place in our hearts now and faded memories that it has been demolished. This is a dedication from a former native. If you remember this mall, feel free to send some picture. This was also where the Legend of Billie Jean was filmed.
