Scott’s Hut on Ross Island, Antarctica

It was built in 1911 by Antarctic explorer Robert Scott and remains frozen in time to this day. Literally. Inside lays a semi dissected penguin left at the time of the last departure and seal blubber used as fuel sits stacked just inside the exterior door, all perfectly preserved by temperatures that rarely rise above freezing.
