Autolycus

Brows quirk incredulously with Xena’s, brown eyes settling on the intricate details of her armor, then her souring expression.

                     “What if it is a social call, hmm?                       Can’t old friends meet up, have                       a drink of wine, defend one                       another from angry, ex-jewelry                       owners?”

Ah, it definitely wasn’t a social call.

The current expression of an unconvinced cynic sculpted her already alluring features, while it would seem the others own eyes were preoccupied. Head tilted toward her ‘friend’, as a single brow arched in response at first.

“And here I thought you came all this way because you needed my help.” 

Palms grasped her hips as a point of rest, as sarcasm dripped from her previous statement like droplets of water falling free from the trees. With a slight roll of her eyes she continued on. 

“Alright let’s hear it, who did you decide to steal from this time?”

         “y’know, you’re truly              in your element when you’re              kickin’ some poor, hapless              thieve’s tush, xena.              you make it an              art form.”

"Speaking from experience are we?" A brow lifted as the question that was asked was indeed rhetorical in origin. "This isn't a social call, mind telling me what you're doing here and just what in Tartarus does it have to do with me?"

Callisto

   “Oh I’m sorry Xena, was this yours?” Her tone anything but sorry as she casually stepped over the elder’s body, Hazel irises steadied themselves upon the Brunette before her, daring her to make a move.

"Let me guess you're not just here to return him? What do you want Callisto?" Her gaze became frozen over in the infamous stare, as she closely eyed her nemesis watching every move the blonde made.

               “No, I don’t but usually people stare                            when they are intrigued.”

"And Just what do you find to be so intriguing about me?"

Hues that are as blue and deep as the very ocean stare down the man, as her gaze like her tone becomes frigid.

“Gabrielle, I thought I told you to keep an eye on him.”

"This is Xena!! She is back! Run, run for your life!.."

“That’s right run-

 Run for your stinky lives!”

Eli

Eyes drift between the crowd of people that seemed to gravitate toward the man; praise and prays once saved for the gods now only saved for one god. It was people like these that first peaked her interest, they broke words of a prophet who has been resurrected a holy man that had been dead for many years. 

Beverage of the tavern was known to loosen the lips of men as they filled their bellies full of ale. It was also common knowledge for those who spent enough time in a tavern, that’s when truth or in most cases the latest gossip spill like ale they consumed. Which would trace out from the cervices of their lips and droop downward. 

It was the tale they regaled like all others that caught her attention and which she then proceeded to inject with some force. Drunkards usually never knew a threat when they saw it, even if it was wearing leather. After one made the mistake of attempting to shove the woman away, perhaps to fetch them some more wine they didn’t need that’s when she began applying the force.

Bodies flew, one landing onto a wooden table that collapsed under the amount of both force and weight. After a few swift punches, well timed flips and several painfully accurate kicks all that could be heard was groans of agony. Pain was also an efficient tool that could loosen lips.  

“He better be where you say he is or next time, I won’t be as gentle.” 

Argo galloped at full speed covering more ground than they usually did until the reached their destination. Of course that time in between involved cracking a few more heads, mostly young thugs looking to make a quick dinar. However when she reached the small village on the edge of Greece; all she had to do was follow the love. 

“Eli, so the tales of your return are true after all.”

Ares

    “You call, I come. I’m not exactly going to ignore when my favourite warrior cries out for me, but I am on a bit of a tight schedule today so, what can I do for you Xena?” Evidently Ares never strayed far from her.

“Well consider it cleared.” Boots tread past him as the words came out in a cool tone, almost as if frost was exhaled from her most recent breath. To know yourself is to know your enemy, something Ares himself told her a long time ago. He was watching her, drawing her near but for what?

“You can start be explaining just what you’re after, and what it has to do with me?” Xena spoke rather pointedly, yet curious still. This patrol unit, that she had dispatched was one of many men that Ares controlled. Or more likely a new warlord pawn he was using to control these men.

Alrighty, so some of you know that Halloween is just my FAVOURITE holiday of all time & so as a BIG thankyou to all of you lovelies for following me, talking with me & let’s face it being such champs when it comes to dealing with my lazy ass. Body placed in a solitary position, feet planted firmly in the ground arms stretched out at her side. Ready at any minute to catch any arrows shot her way or cut through them with her chakram.  

Heavy steps around them could be heard, but it was not the sound but rather the smell that caught her attention. Eyes leer around, the forms in the shadows of the trees look like men; however looks could be and were quite deceiving. 

“You hear that?--

we’re surrounded.”

The acute hearing of the warrior woman was at work whilst her brain racked to figure out how many there were.
