I originally reposted this in November of 2016. I didn't think it would still be relevant nearly 10 years later. I have since left the US, but his cult and their unquestioning belief in his lies have become a poison through the world. In the UK they think he's a joke, and I have to look at my friends and colleagues and remind them that what they think is funny is very real and terrifying for many I care about. Now his bombing of Iran, claiming nuclear weapons is the same shit as 2001. America needs to rise up against him. The rest of the world needs to band together and grab him by the balls and twist until he relents like the coward he is.

Hades was quiet as he watched her approach. He rested his hand on top of hers, smiling after she kissed his cheek.

"Alright. I suppose I will indulge you and not investigate.."

He added playfully. He couldn't remember the last time he had truly celebrated his birthday before meeting her.

Her heart soared at the god who she was fortunate enough to love. He was so different with her than the others, and she knew she was lucky enough to see the real him.

“Mm,” she mused. “Then we shall go, my King.”

Tightening her grip on his hand slightly, she pulled him toward Elysium.

He murmured fondly to her. Though he was curious about her surprise, he didn't pay a lot of attention to their surroundings as she started to lead the way. His attention was focused on her instead..

Persephone took his hand and led him from the palace toward Elysium. There were small brooks and streams in the paradise of the underworld, and Persephone had arranged a private picnic. She asked the residents to keep clear of the area, and they were happy to oblige. Sitting on the blanket, she waited for her love to join her.

He confirmed with a faint nod of his head.

"Welcome to Fangtasia, Ryann Bane. My name is Eric. Eric Northman."

He greeted her politely, though he didn't offer her his hand to shake.

Eric murmured, wishing that he could travel to her realm to see this for himself. It was probably a good thing that he couldn't.

"You're not human."

He stated simply, curious to see how she'd react to this.

"And you are also very brave, going to a vampire bar on your own.."

“Half-correct,” she acknowledged. “I’m half-human.” She tucked her hair behind her ear, and revealed the small dots of scars. “My uncle hid my differences by having my pointed ears hidden, after my father and step-mother died.”

“I became part of the Bane, who my father once led. I now lead them. I am a warrior. I protect those who are in danger. I have faced far worse than a den of vampires having a consensually good time.” Ryan shrugged and sipped her drink. “And, to be fair, I wasn’t meant to be alone.”

Marley didn’t have the energy to guess at what Rosier had or had not done or would do. She just shrugged.

“You’re going to go to Beauxbatons with me? Don’t be ridiculous, Sirius.”

He wondered out loud, a hint of a smile played along his lips as he said this.

Persephone reached up and caressed his cheek. “Mmm. The surprise can wait, my soul.” She had planned an intimate picnic in Elysium under the stars with his favourite foods, and no souls, servants, other deities, or anyone but the two of them. “Or… we could continue this at your surprise?”

Shield. Now that was something that was familiar to him. And yet, he wasn't certain if it meant the same thing to her.

"I- I was created long ago. And it seems the Gods have a plan for me in human form."

He observed, with a meaningful glance upwards before he turned his attention towards her once more. He nodded in agreement in response to her question.

"I would like that very much. It is a bit chilly being dressed like this. But what could I wear?"

He repeated as he tried to make sense of her explanation. Raising a hand, he absent mindedly ran his figners through his curly blonde hair.

"Maybe you could show me?"

Peggy nodded, and led the way to the car park, where her car was one of the last there. The other few cars were security and the agent on-call. She opened the drivers side door and cranked the engine, allowing him to explore and investigate it.

Sirius calmly met her gaze, though he clenched his jaw when he heard what she said next.

"What did he do? Did he hurt you?"

He demanded, if they weren't close together like this he'd examine her from head to toe. He didn't remove his hand though. Lightly stroking her cheek with his thumb.

"They can certainly try."

“No. He just got angry, said I’d regret it, and walked off. He didn’t touch me,” she assured Sirius.

Marley’s heart raced at the touch, as she began to come out of her head. Her grief momentarily subdued by the contact with him.

“That’s not funny, Sirius. I’m not risking you.”

Smiling, she shook her head. “I must admit: I am relieved Timothy has decided to be part of your family instead of a villain’s. He would be utterly unstoppable.” Putting a hand on Bruce’s shoulder she smiled. “Fun for you maybe, but where’s the fun for me?” Her tone was teasing, but she meant it.

“Oh, don’t think the though of an evil Tim hasn’t crossed by mine before. He’d be far worse than Jason was.”

“Well, if me getting drunk isn’t entertainment enough for you, you’re welcome to get drunk with me. I’m sure it takes a lot of alcohol to achieve that... if no, what would entertain you, Princess?”

“Jason was justifiably angry, but he’s calmed down. Timothy… well, let us say I’m glad it’s a possibility you’ve considered.”

Diana rolled her eyes a little at the title, but her smile hadn’t faded. “Since there are no gladiatorial arenas anymore, I suppose we’ll have to think of something. As I don’t think we have the time it would take to get me drunk.”

"Then come to this benefit with me for two hours. Dance a little, start a few rumours, then we can go get some burgers and go do something actually fun. Can't imagine an escape room with you is fun, you're too clever. Axe throwing with me is a liability. But I'm sure we can figure something out?" Diana suggested hopefully. She'd been volunteering and working as a diplomat day and night, and somehow managing to get her League duties in between. She needed a good night out as well.

“Dick took us to an escape room once... We didn’t make it five minutes before Tim solved the entire room. But I’m sure it would at least be entertaining to see there faces when you break the axe and the target in one throw.” Bruce said, chuckling a little at the thought of going somewhere like that with Diana. “If you can get me drunk enough at the benefit I’ll consider your job a success in showing me a fun night.”

He promised her telepathically. He could sense there was more to her words than what she was sharing with him. He didn't pry to learn her secrets though. Instead he moved closer so he could embrace her leg for a moment.

Ahsoka smiled down at Grogu. “Yes, I’m sure you will remind me often, and I welcome it.” Sitting with him, she did feel like she was part of something bigger again, even if it wasn’t the Jedi or the rebellion. Blinking in surprise, she looked down at Grogu. “I suppose you would. He was… well, he was larger than life. His exploits made him well-known. You met and trained with his son: Luke. You haven’t met his daughter, Leia, who is much more like him. While I see Anakin in Luke, I see much more of his mother.”

"I saw him after he turned to the dark side. At the temple.."

He confessed telepathically, ears drooping as he thought about that dark day. The screams that still haunted his nightmares. A part of him felt guilty, being one of the very few survivors.

He looked up at her at the mention of Anakin's children though. He let out a soft sound of confirmation when she mentioned Luke.

"Then I hope I will be able to meet his daughter one day."

“That wasn’t Anakin, that was Vader. Anakin was dead by then.” Ahsoka often lost sleep wondering if she could have stopped him from turning if she’d stayed with the Order, or if she would have died too. She wasn’t even a Jedi at the time and her friends had still attacked her. She regretted much about that time, but she was glad she was able to get herself and Rex out. “I’m sure you will, Leia seems to have her fingers in everything.”

Tilting her head to the side in curiosity, Ryann watched Eric. “Interesting how?” She supposed that her world was far different from this one, but surely women here fought as well.

Ryann turned to the direction he indicated and frowned. “And why was I permitted in, then? I am no one important.”

He calmly explained to her. As she gazed at the entrance of the club, humans were slowly being allowed inside, one after the other. He raised an eyebrow at Ryann when she asked him that question.

"Do I really have to explain that to you?"

“I suppose they’re not as common here, but we are many back home.” Ryan shrugged. Noticing his brow, she wondered if it was meant to be obvious, but she still didn’t understand. “You don’t need to but if you don’t, I’ll still not understand.”
