Have you ever paid attention to a flower long enough to understand how it’s feeling? 🌸 I made that my morning meditation today. I understand how insane that sounds, but you’d be stunned by how present meditating on a flower forces you to become. You’d also probably be blown away at the sensations that flood your body while staring at a flower, too. I was floored any way. Plants are profound. 🌻 Morning glories sing to the sun on a Venusian frequency, rich with peaceful and intuitive feminine aesthetic. ☀️ Each blue satin petal folds together forming a starry funnel connecting her to the source (the vine). It’s because of that funneled connection she’s able to pull back her petals with an open heart to the great star of life. When the fiery sphere flips and the moon begins her reign, the glories twist their satin petals inward, collecting the energy it needs to open up again the next day. 🌸 It’s so powerful. The little things are so powerful.

I saw Iggy Pop on Saturday night, and it changed my life. He is the source, the real f*cking deal. It was the best show I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been to hundreds and hundreds of shows over the last 10+ years. At 70 years old Mr. Pop changed everything I thought I knew about rock n’ roll. I don’t think Led Zeppelin or Black Sabbath are the hardest bands of rock’s classic past anymore— I think it’s the Stooges. I think it’s always been the Iggy + Stooges. Iggy made Mic Jagger look like a rock n’ roll novice last weekend. He made the Beatles seem like whiney pansies; Ozzy look weak and Robert Plant seem like an emotional opera singer. Iggy and his band made every other outstanding musical group seem soft, sensitive and banal. . I spent the entire show in the pit, reveling in Iggy’s raw power. I was shoved, spun around, lifted off the ground bc I was smooshed between people; my dress ripped, my purse broke, my hair was stuck to my face and my stockings look like a wolverine got to them. The guy on the right has a degree in molecular chemistry. He is showing Mayor Kerr of Adelanto (on the left) how the machine separates THC, CBD and terpenes. . What's sad is that it's beyond foreign for me to conceive of a mayor who's so hands on. But that's because I'm from a place where A) cannabis is banned in all but two cities B) the mayor of the only city that allows the retail sale of cannabis only shows up when he's taking bribes from people. I met Reverend Al Sharpton today and had a 10 minute one on one with him about social injustice in cannabis, what he specifically means by "inclusion" in the cannabis industry and how he feels about all these Politicos taking a stance on marijuana. . I've never had anyone stare me in the eyes as intensely as him. He definitely looked into my soul. It was intense, kinda scary, but also cool. We shook hands at the end and he told me he enjoyed our time together. . Never in a million years would I have guessed that I'd share a few personal moments with this man.
