Setting priorities is similar to pressing the reset button. Things are lighter, you are able to be more focused and execute things in a productive manner. As they say, humans do not get automatically aligned. However, prioritizing allows us to have breathing space and swim with unending tides.

3. Celebrate your achievements but never rest on them.
You have achieved today, but tomorrow is another day. Do not get too complacent, and always eye for progress. This boils down to the saying that “Progress never stops”, which means that productivity is a continuous cycle. But make sure you establish a room for breathing. Breathing in a sense that you take a break and celebrate your progress no matter how big or small it is. Moreover, you can reward yourself once in a while. Buy that cute top you saw at the mall! Eat your at your favorite restaurant! Get yourself some warm cup of coffee from your cafe!
Today, challenge yourself to make progress, not excuses. And while you do, do not be too hard on yourself. Celebrate the smallest victories in any way.

4. Go out of your comfort zone.
Firstly, get information. The more you know about a certain topic, the more powerful you will feel. Secondly, challenge your comfort zone in order to make it into a habit. Lastly, always be positive and never let anyone or anything hinder you from going out of your comfort zone. Try to keep expanding your comfort zone by doing stuff you would never imagine you would do. Who knows? You might actually like what you're doing. There will be many instances that your professors will have you do things that you're too shy to do e.g. speak about yourself, impromptu speeches, individual reportings, and etc. All of this will help you not only in your future career but in your personal life as well.

5. If you want something, but don’t need it, don’t buy it.
Are you thinking about getting that cute yet unnecessary piece you have been eyeing? Are you thinking about ordering another cup of coffee at a coffee shop? Think again because you will be spending a lot on just school materials and other requirements and outputs. In some of your classes, there will be professors who will mandate you to pass outputs that are not exactly cheap, especially for students, such as printed magazines, brochures, posters and et cetera. Try to live on a budget. This will help you keep track of the amount of money you spend on a basis. Also, this will help you prioritize your spendings. Best be smart about your spending habits.
