“Thank you, thank you. I won’t be here all night.”
“Good. Leave me out of it.”
"So... If ain't Izumi... This means Kouji is my love interest then?"
" Considering only the two of you got to use out spirits and combine them to fight against the Knights, I wouldn't be so surprised. "
“What the fucketh.”

to be reminded of the cost
of losing you.
- You shared it with me everyday, when the light had left your eyes and yet still, you stood before me.
i am the one (reprise), next to normal
Long before he did Choromatsu, Hiroshi Kamiya did another character with an identical brother…And it was because I loved Kouichi so much that Kenichi Suzumura became my favorite seiyuu long ago. He is also on Osomatsu-san, as Iyami…

Kin :: What’s their role among their relations? Do they consider others family?
A-Z HEADCANONS FOR MY CHARACTERS
Strangers - people who don’t know Kouji - might be prone to considering Kouji a delinquent. They see his cold and aloof exterior as disrespectful and assume his role as an ungrateful child that looks like he might become a gang member.
Kouji doesn’t consider strangers to be worth any of his time.
Acquaintances - especially Kouji’s classmates in school and his teachers - consider Kouji to be a quiet, keen individual with astute athletic abilities. He doesn’t take well to rules without reason, and can be intimidating if not stubbornly opposed to those he decides he doesn’t like. His role is ‘top of the kendo club,’ ‘fierce competition,’ and someone who, while not always good at functioning in a group, would be voted into becoming part of the police.
Kouji has a hard time allowing acquaintances to become close to him.
His father and stepmother (and more recently, his biological mother) see Kouji as a deeply emotional child, who loves fiercely, grieves deeply, is hard to please and easy to anger or hurt. They see him as their son.
He sees them as not the best people in the world, but they’re still his parents.
To his close friends - those that know him well - Kouji’s role is just to be himself. There are too many ways to describe him; second-in-command, warrior of light, the (ex) lone wolf - a good friend. Someone who won’t let you down, someone who won’t pity you and instead push you to do your best. He’s awkward at showing his emotions, but the best person to depend on in a pinch.
These are the few people Kouji really considers family.

twistedstarlitspirits:
When Kouichi breaks character and tells him what all this is about, Kouji will look back on this and laugh. For now he was vaguely affronted. He didn’t act like that at all.
He could almost believe Kouichi was him, up until Kouichi glared at the house. He should have known that he wouldn’t dare show any unhappiness where their dad might see it by chance. Not that Kouji’s ever mentioned it.
“I should be asking you that. Is this your try to meet dad without it being awkward? I should warn you, it won’t work. We’re not really talking right now”
Kouji’s gaze left the house to stare at the other, again struck by the notion that this person could be no one other than Kouichi. Yet the younger was having a hard time wrapping his head around what the other twin was saying - and what Kouichi meant by it.
“I know you’re not talking,” he said a bit softer, though his stare did not let up in trying to deduce the meaning of this encounter. There must be some reason for Kouichi to continue acting like him, though Kouji couldn’t figure.
“Did Takuya put you up to this? Izumi? Junpei? You know they’re all idiots if so.” Of course he meant it fondly, but really - could Kouichi be keeping this up for some sort of dare or game? If not for...
“Kouichi, you know you don’t really have to convince my mom you’re me.”
Though Kouichi’s acting as him seemed to have improved, if not for being a bit terse.

What the hell was that brother of his pulling now? He’s really going to need to figure out why Kouichi is so playful. It’s weird. His pranks are usually cute or scary, this really isn’t up Kouichi’s normal alley.
But obviously it was him. There was no on else that looked like him unless their dad or mom had more kids without telling them. In which case, he’s going to have another long talk with his dad later.
“Are you really pretending to be me?”
“What?”
Kouji didn’t mean to sound harsh, but he was just a bit baffled.
“I’m not pretending to be you, why are you pretending to be me?”
He looked towards his house, as if to stare inside and death glare his father.
“Does this have something to do with dad?”
"Do you ever think about how some of the people you know might very much not be human? Like... Is it just me?"
“…Can’t say I thought about it like that before, no. But, I know what you mean. We were all digimon for a while… part of us are still digimon. And you’re not a spirit anymore, Nii-san.”
He takes Kouichi’s hand just as much to reassure himself as the other.
“Unless you mean the digimon we met… but I don’t think that’s what you meant.”
Bonfire: What’s one thing you lost that you want back?
Elemental Questions: Fire
Kouji is quiet for a while in thought.
“Hm… The things I lost and wanted back I already got back.
“Our mother… You.”
Feather: How long do you usually sleep for?
Elemental Questions: Wind
“I don’t see how that’s anyone else’s business.
“I get enough.”
Sometimes, Kouji could be a little too focused.
Such as he was now, engrossed in his cell phone as he walked casually down the street towards home. He was comfortable with the neighborhood enough to not need to look up, after all.
Which was how it might have been possible that he could have stepped through a digital gate that someone might have forgotten to close behind them. Maybe.
When Kouji looks up, for a moment he thinks there’s a mirror in his path, since he seems himself down the street. Then he blinks, and remembers he has a twin. But, oddly, his reflection didn’t look like Kouichi... it just looked like him.
“Kouichi?” He calls out anyway. It couldn’t be anyone else.
