Hello! I'm Ren or Fei. This blog was previously universal-ren-kin and was rebranded due to it not being much of a kin blog any longer.
I'm over 30, a trans man, and mostly here to share the things I create and enjoy. You'll find my artwork, Gundam Wing fanfiction, the occasional ramble, and whatever else catches my interest. While Gundam Wing is my main fandom here, I do have others that pop up from time to time.
I'm a disabled adult as recognized by the United States government. Because of that, I share my life with both a service dog and an emotional support cat. They are important parts of my everyday life, even if they don't always make appearances on the blog.
I'm also a very new artist. Please keep that in mind when looking at my work. Every drawing is another opportunity to learn something new, and I'm enjoying the process of improving one piece at a time. Constructive feedback is always appreciated when it's given respectfully.
I also write Gundam Wing fanfiction. Whether I'm drawing or writing, I love exploring characters, relationships, alternate universes, and giving familiar stories a different perspective.
I live with Dissociative Identity Disorder, often shortened to DID. DID develops as a response to repeated severe trauma during early childhood, when the developing mind is unable to integrate those experiences into a single, unified sense of self. The result is a system of distinct alters, who are not imaginary friends, roleplay, or pretend people. They are real dissociated parts of one mind with their own experiences, perspectives, and ways of interacting with the world. Some of them occasionally post here, and they usually identify themselves when they do. My therapist and psychiatrist are both aware of my diagnosis, have confirmed it, and do not consider it a threat or concern because it does not interfere with my ability to live my daily life.
Asks, messages, and conversations are always welcome. Anonymous asks are turned off for now due to recent drama.
