This means everything. <3
I already finished watching the final episode of SPIKE! and it's incredible! I can’t help but watch it over and over. I was ugly crying. There were so many elements worth noting but what touched my heart is the very last segment. It showed Puen's story in a nutshell. It summed up Puen's life and the roles of Singha and Than as he grows on and off court. I know that using volleyball as a concept for a drama show is not original anymore but I am amazed how they used this sport as a metaphor because the two setters in the story are the key people who molded the spiker, Puen. Singha inspired him and made him a volleyball player while Than pushed him and guided him when he felt betrayed. Two similar roles but each has a very different purpose. I also want to comment on Singha's role in Puen's life. Although Puen has found a companion in Than, for me, Singha's role was the most crucial. Puen discovered his talent in volleyball because of Singha as a friend. And when Singha left, he found a new form of motivation to keep going again because of Singha but this time as an opponent. Than may be his constant companion throughout the series but Singha will be his greatest memory. Like what Puen said, Singha is his unfinished business. The moment Singha said that he always understands Puen was priceless and the honesty from Puen that he is still mad at Singha for abandoning the team was very touching because it's authentic. We know it because it happens to us in real life. The placement of the background music when they were patching things up was spot on. And the final scene with Puen and Than! It was profound and very subtle. We all have been forsaken at some point but what I've learned from Than is that we must still be grateful if someone will come along who will pick us up and help us move forward. If you won't meet someone like him in your life, at least be like him to someone else. Be like Than in a world full of Puens. Gosh, I love this series. The acting was superb, the script was fantastic, the soundtrack was moving. Puen’s outburst at the hospital was my most favorite. It was heavy, touching and very believable. I expected the level of acting from Bank (Than) but I never thought that Oab (Puen) is just as capable. This is definitely Oab’s best acting performance so far.
I would also like to commend the cinematography. The final volleyball match was spectacular. It looks legit to me. I read somewhere that the cast were trained to play volleyball for one year. Great effort from everyone. Even though I don’t understand a single word, the soundtrack 25 Hours is just beautiful. The music video might suggest BL or bromance but the entire series is way more than that. The moment it played during the very last scene gave me goosebumps. It was way beyond BL, way beyond bromance.
I’m not sure if tv series is a form of art but I don’t care. For me, SPIKE! is a masterpiece.
P.S. I’m so looking forward to Side By Side, SOS and Shoot! I Love You! Judging by the cast members, I’m sure they will not disappoint.
Huhuhuhu :(

Exit Wounds & Exit Interview
This is a glimpse of my exit interview. Pedro helped me compose the answers to questions one to three while the rest I drafted after gulping two bottles of beer.
0. What was your primary reason for leaving? Please use this portion to explain further reason/s for resignation.
“I wanted something new, new working environment and new people. I was okay career-wise but I didn't think I am still growing as a person. My motivation has been deteriorating. Boredom has managed to squeeze in during long hectic days. I was becoming less and less engaged with people. It made me feel stressed and exhausted to the point I was compromising my health. It was literally and figuratively unhealthy and I thought that change is the only way to resolve my issue may it be personal or not. It was a tough call but I thought I have to make this decision.”
1. If a good friend of yours is looking for a job, would you recommend him / her to SMART? Why?
“Yes, I would recommend because Smart is recognized as one of the best employers locally and having experienced the working environment, the people and the benefits, I would suggest that it's worth a try.”
2a. Would you work for SMART again in the future? Why?
“Yes. I am not closing any doors or possibilities. Change is part of growth and part of it means either going back or moving forward. Given the right conditions, I will.”
2b. In the same group / department you are leaving? Why?
“Yes. Given the right conditions, I will.”
3. What (if anything) could SMART have done to prevent you from leaving?
“One factor that made me leave is the location. If SMI stayed in Makati, I wouldn't have left.
Second, aside from the one and only team-building that happened in Antipolo and the annual Christmas parties, there are no other activities that engage individuals with each other. Gaining more office friends can make work life easier and may cause lower attrition rate.
Third, I believe that the company can provide better facilities - laptop, monitor, fire exit, more meeting rooms, fast network, printer, photocopying machine, scanner, projector and comfort rooms.”
4. Any other comment you would like to express that we might not have been able to cover?
“I may have ups and downs but overall I had an incredible time at SMI especially during the days when it was still called SHI. I found some lifelong friends and discovered my potentials. They gave me opportunities to explore and to stretch to my limits. I have done things I thought I wouldn't ever do like taking part in training activities and leading a group of people. They have put me to a position that is challenging enough and at the same time made me get to know people with different points of view. The most precious part was working with my team PSPC. I found people who inspired me to go to work every day yet still having a life full of rock and roll. It was all worth it. I just came to that point when I knew I have to leave the party. Still, I am very thankful.”

Let It Go
Starting 2014 right by revisiting tumblr. So after so many months of getting stuck with love issues, why not post again.
It's hard to think while listening to my playlist composed of all my songs of the moment this year. Oh well. This is my last favorite track for 2013.
-
Demi Lovato
It began with my love for Demi Lovato as it grew while I was watching the US version of X-Factor. As a music 'fan', I am required to listen to songs even if it's not to my liking. But I 'love' music and I love Demi.
-
Idina Menzel
Then, I heard Idina Menzel's version. My cousins and I are still talking about this and I declared to them with conviction that Demi is better. I was being superficial. Haha. But deep inside, Idina Menzel's version made me regret that I didn't watch the movie Frozen.

Male Version
And then, I saw a random post on tumblr about this male version. I'm not planning to make any resolution this new year. But because of this rendition, this might be it. Haha.

Ed Sheeran, Lego House
Exactly 4 months ago, Jel and I met up after a very long time. It's so hard to find time and catch up with people these past few days. I miss Jel.
I've been feeling everything from hate to love from love to lust from lust to truth I guess that's how I know you so I hold you close to help you give it up.
