Hi do you rp as bjorn ?
Hii! Sorry, but no. 😊 This blog is more like a co-written story between the two admins. On my own RP blog (@naturally-recklessly) I only RP as Hvitserk (as well as some other characters, but not from the Vikings series).

Sleepless Nights
Were everything that followed. After losing their favourite sources of energy, Liam and Kevin navigated the city's nightlife in search of new prey. But no energy they could find would compare, and now they knew why. Love. There had been love involved and it made everything more powerful, sweeter. But all of that was over now, and the incubi had to move on. Liam doubted he had a soul, but if he did, it felt so empty now. There was this big, dark hole inside of him, one that wasn't there before. And he tried to fill it however he could - with alcohol, drugs, sex, bike races, gambling, violence... It helped him numb this foreign feeling of emptiness for quite a while, and he got a great fix of energy. The demon in him was out of control now, and he didn't even care about the victims he left behind, he just wanted to forget. To go back in time, maybe. To a time when he hadn't met Nana and tasted her energy, when he had no idea what love felt like, when he didn't think he could be a better man. But he wasn't a man, he was a demon, and he was fucking good at it.
"Enough, bro! You're gonna kill him..." Kevin warned, as Liam kept throwing punches at his long defeated opponent. "Fine..." The blue eyed demon stopped, wiping a trail of blood from his lip. "But if this motherfucker touches my bike again, he won't live to tell the tale."
Meanwhile, at the girls' apartment complex, nights were sleepless all the same. Especially for Nana. She had been warned keeping this baby wouldn't be easy, but her stubbornness and motherly love gave her strength. Yet sometimes it took all she had in her to endure the constant pain and tiredness. She couldn't even eat properly, because the baby seemed to hate almost everything she ate and made her throw up.
"Thank you, my friends. I don't know what would happen to me and my daughter, if we didn't have you." Nana gave Kori and Lucy a faint smile, as she placed a hand on her belly. The baby was still too small to identify their gender, but she felt they would be a girl. Lucy thought so too, that she sensed a feminine energy.
"Anytime." The princess of Hell smirked, handing Nana a glass full of a dark green, thick beverage. It was one of the recipes she'd found on her mother's old diaries, a mix of herbs, vegetables and roots some healer used to give her. And although it smelled and tasted awfully, it seemed to help. Well, it certainly did, because Lucy was born safe and sound, and the Queen lived to tell the tale. So she'd decided to try these strange recipes on Nana, and they seemed to work indeed. They were also some of the few things the little demon wouldn't make her mother throw up, which was also a good sign. "Drink it up!"
"Ugh... it tastes like... swamp water?" Nana complained, taking a very small sip and making a funny, disgusted face. "Don't be such a baby, Nana! It's either this or starving to death, you choose." Lucy scolded, frowning at her friend. "Alright, alright... I'm sorry, Lu..." Nana replied sheepishly, ingesting the rest of the drink. She really appreciated everything her friends did for her, but she couldn't help wishing that Liam was here with her too.
Kori smiled thoughtly at her friend, she knew all of this had be hard on Nana especially with Liam being MIA.
Not to mention all the murders and disappearances lately.
Kori didn't know why but she couldn't shake the feeling their former partners were somehow involved.
"What about the shave ice Nan? Does she like those?"
Kevin shook his head calling an ambulance for the man as he and Liam got out of there.
It was becoming a common reoccurrence lately, if the people managed to come out alive that is.
Liam was hurting, he understood that but this extreme for the blue eyed demon.
Kevin took what he needed to survive but nothing felt as good as it did with Kori.
He missed her, even though it had only been a few days, all he could think about was her.
Besides taking care of Nana and the little one, Kori didn't stay in the apartment very much, especially in her bedroom, there were was so many things that reminded of Kevin, it became almost painful being in there for too long.
When she was home she would usally sleep on the couch.
"How you holding up Kor?" Luke asked sitting on the counter while his friend entered the kitchen.
"I'm alright Lu." Kori replied grabbing some drinks from the fridge and offering him one.
"Sleeping on the sofa and avoiding your home is concerned doing alright?" The blonde said taking the beverage.
Kori rolled her eyes, of course he would bring that up.
"Can't we not do this right now?"
She replied really not in the mood to talk about it.
"Kor, we all see something is wrong."
Luke pressed making the girl sigh, he wasn't going to stop.
"Luke just drop it okay?" Kori warned getting really annoyed.
The blonde didn't back down, it was one the few times he didn't do as she asked.
"Not until you say what's bothering you."
The girl started to get to angry.
" I MISS HIM ALRIGHT?! NOW LEAVING ME THE FUCK ALONE!"
Kori shouted storming into her room locking the door behind her.
She spotted one of Kevin's T-shirts on floor, she picked it up holding to her chest and broke down for the first time.
Little did she know, was that Luke and called Kevin and he heard everything.
Hearing Kori's question about the shave ice, Nana smiled and nodded. "She does. I think she might have a sweet tooth, like her mom." She chuckled, then let out a little sigh. "I wish I was having one of those, instead of this swamp water Lucy gives me..." She laughed, watching as Satan's daughter rolled her eyes. "I'm joking, Lu! Thank you so much for taking care of us. And you too, Kori."
Nana smiled, for she knew she wasn't the only one having a hard time. Kori never complained in front of her, but she knew her friend missed Kevin terribly. As much as she missed Liam. Those two had come for their energy and left with their hearts. Now they were left feeling empty, with no choice other than to heal for themselves.
But leaving Kori behind hadn't been Kevin's choice. He wished things had never changed, so picking up Luke's call and hearing Kori speaking about him, admitting how much she missed him, felt like a huge weight being lifted off his shoulders.
"I knew it! I'm going to her place and make things right!" Kevin informed Liam, grinning happily. "Whatever..." The blue eyed demon shrugged, downing his beer. "Are you sure... you don't want to come?" Kevin asked, already guessing the answer. "What for? To feel guilty about what I've done to Nana? To say my last goodbyes as she withers away because of that thing? No thanks... I'm not good with saying goodbye anyway... and she probably hates me by now, so there's no point." Liam spoke as if it didn't even matter, but the way his knuckles turned white around his glass, almost breaking it, said otherwise. Kevin nodded. "If you change your mind, you know where to find me."
The dark blonde demon left his friend at the bar and drove off to the girls' apartment, faster than the law allowed him to, but he didn't care. Now he knew Kori missed him as much as he missed her and he couldn't wait to wrap his arms around her once more.
A loud knock on the door awoke Nana from her light sleep, just when she'd finally managed to get some, making Lucy upset after all the effort she'd put into easing the human's discomfort. "Oh for fucks sake..." The blonde demon rolled her eyes, getting up. "Who can it be at this hour?" "A guest." Luke just chuckled and rushed to open the door. "At last! What took you so long?" "Shut up!" Kevin smirked, playfully pushing Luke aside and entering Kori's room. "Baby girl! I missed you too. So so much!" He confessed as he wrapped his arms around her, as tight as he could.
Watching as Kevin entered their apartment, Nana couldn't help but take a look outside, hoping for a brief moment that Liam would follow, and that everything would be okay. Instead, all she got was an intense pain in her stomach, as if this little demon was fighting against her. What she didn't know, was that it was only the little one reacting to its father's energy nearby. Outside the building, Liam smoked a cigarette next to his motorbike, looking up at the light coming from Nana and her friends' apartment. Waging a war against himself.
"Kev?" Kori said still half asleep has he wrapped himself around the girl, she had dreamt about him next to her so many times, that it took her a moment to realize he was actually in front of her.
"Kevin? Is.. Is it really you?"
The dark blonde nodded caressing his girlfriend's cheek. "Yes Baby, it's me."
"Kevin!"
Kori sobbed, tears falling down her face as she finally hugged him back.
Kevin tightened his grip , burying his face into the girl's dark hair.
"Shh..I'm here , I'm right here." He said softly.
Luke smiled watching the couple as he held his own girlfriend, he wasn't the biggest fan of the incubus, but he made his human happy and that was the important thing.
"W-where is Liam?" Kori asked wiping her eyes as she calmed down. "Is he alright?"
The dark blonde shook his head as Nana fell to the floor.
"Nana! " Kori shouted as they rushed to her aide.
"Are you okay Nan?" Kevin asked helping her up and setting on the sofa before sensing Liam, but by the time he got to the window, his friend was gone.
"Babe?" Kori asked following his gaze and noticed a biked figure riding away.
"Was that him?"
"I think so." Kevin shrugged pulling his girl into him.
He really didn't understand why the blue eyed demon would come all the way here
if he was just going to leave.
Almost over night, the body counts from the disappearances and slaughters were going up at an alarming rate since Kevin and Kori got back together, and with no possible leads the city was high alert.
"It's.. It's not him is it?" Kori asked as she and Kevin walked to the bakery to get some treats for Nana and the baby.
Kevin remained silent lightly squeezing his girlfriend's hand.
"Kev?" She said softly, gently touching his arm.
"I tried to reason with him.. to help them."
He replied thinking of all those people, Kevin never really concerned himself with well being of his and Liam's victims before.
But now, the thought of possibly taking someone that meant has much as Kori did to him away from someone else, it terrified him.
"Oh My Love..." Kori said, softy rubbing his hand with her thumb.
"How can we help him?"
She thought aloud as they entered the shop ans were greeted by her family.
"I'm not sure Baby." Kevin sighed following his girlfriend inside.
"Hey Cuz!" A younger man shouted from behind the counter putting away some pasteries.
"Pickin' more shave ice?"
Kori smiled. "Hi Aaron, yep it seems to be the only thing Nana can handle right now."
Aaron nodded before noticing the man behind his cousin.
"So this must da guy you were tellin' me about?"
He teased starting on her order.
Kori laughed feeling herself blush.
"Yeah this is my boyfriend Kevin, Love this my cousin Aaron."
"Hi." Kevin said wrapping his arms around Kori, smiled and kissed her cheek.
Just then everyone's phone started going off.
"What's going on?" Kori thought pulling out her own phone, and seeing an alert saying that police finally had a suspect in the recent attacks in custody.
Her heart stopped when a picture of Liam appeared on the screen.
"Th-they caught him? " Kori stuttered before showing the news to Kevin.
"Damn it Liam what did you do?" He cursed under his breath tightening his grip around the girl as her cousin came back.
"Here ya go Cuz!" Aaron said placing the frozen treats on the counter.
"Thanks Man, we have to go I'll be back soon!" Kori replied, quickly paying, taking the treats and following Kevin out and calling Luke.
Lucas was watching the news as he picked up.
"So.. I'm guessing you two already found out?" He asked watching the blue eyed demon's face on the almost every channel.
"Yeah, it's everywhere, does Nana know?"
Kori asked as the couple rushed back to the apartment.

The Turning of the Seasons
Seemed to tighten the bonds between the two demon friends and their humans, with both couples growing more in love with each passing month. So much that Nana practically lived at Liam's apartment by now, while Kevin spent much more time at Kori's place than his own.
For the first time in his existence, Liam cared for someone else other than himself or Kevin. He loved Nana, not only for her energy, but also for her innocent, almost childlike way of seeing good and beauty in everything. Even in a demon like himself, and he had come to like the person he was when he was with her. Better, calmer, funnier. She was also a little rebel who'd go on any crazy adventure with him without thinking twice, and she was extremely sexy at all the right moments. He loved that about her too, and even her clumsiness. It was official - if a demon like himself could feel love for anyone, it was for her. She was his and he'd destroy anything or anyone who dared threaten their happiness. As for Nana, her feelings for Liam were mutual, although much simpler. She loved him - madly, deeply, unconditionally. Nothing more to add.
And she felt truly happy. Not only had she the most amazing boyfriend by her side, but her career in the fashion field was going really well. So when she started feeling even more tired than normal, sometimes finding it hard to find the energy to do just the simplest things, like standing in front of the mirror to do her make up or going for a walk, she blamed it on the amount of work she'd taken upon herself. And when her stomach hurt and she had a hard time keeping food inside, she blamed it on anxiety and maybe something spoiled.
"Soo... what should we have? A pizza, some tacos... maybe a veggie lasagna for you, Nana?" Lucy asked, trying to order some food for them on a night the whole group of friends gathered at The Host. "Hmm... I think I'll just have a cup of tea, Lu. I'm still not feeling too well..." Nana explained with a smile, resting her head against Liam's chest. "I might have eaten something bad again..." "Strange... Kori and I ate the same as you yesterday and we're fine..." Lucy frowned, trying to understand what was wrong with her friend, but ultimately shrugged. She was a demon after all, and therefore not affected by human conditions.
After a while, the food was served and knowing how much Nana loved french fries, Liam grinned and fed her one. "Uh... I don't..." She turned away, seemingly nauseated. "Excuse me..." Covering her mouth with her hand, Nana ran to the bathroom, slamming the door behind her. "What the fuck... what did I do?" The blue eyed demon turned to his best friend, a very confused look upon his features.
"I'm not sure Bro." Kevin shrugged while Kori excused herself . "I'll be right back guys."
She said patting Liam's shoulder on her way to the bathroom, although Nana did try her best to hide when she wasn't feeling good, Kori could tell knowing the signs herself and it was happening much more frequently.
"You haven't been taking that much energy lately have you?"
Kevin asked quitely has Lucas refill their drinks.
"You do know that the rest of us here can still hear you right?"
The older demon added earn glares from darker blonde, while he and Kori had been officially for a while now.
Kevin still had not told her told exactly what he was in fear it would make her afraid of him and leave.
"No of course not!" Liam whispered back taking a sip of his drink glancing at Luke.
"Well it's clearly meant for you so why you are still listening?"
Luke rolled his eyes and went back over to his girlfriend and Devon.
"Are you ever planning on telling her?"
Liam asked taking another swig looking at the bathroom door.
"Nana?" Kori asked lightly knocked on the door before entering and seeing her best friend hunched over the toilet bowl.
"Oh Nan..." She said kneeling down rubbing her friends back.
This had been going on for far too long to just fatigue or food poisoning, it had to be something else.
And it clicked, Kori wasn't sure if her guess was right, but it made sense with most of Nana's symptoms.
"Nan, do you think..., do you think you might be pregnant?"
It had been a quite some time since Kori left and Liam was starting to get aggravated.
"What the hell is taking long?" He snapped already finishing his beverage, when he saw the girl poke her head out and gestured for Lucy.
"Hey Lu." Kori whispered as Lucy entered.
"Can you stay here with Nan while I run to the store really quick? I think I know what's wrong but we want be sure."
Soon Kori came back to table and grabbed her bag.
"I'll be right back, I need to get something."
"Is Nana okay? Do want you me to come with you?"
"We'll find out, Nah I'll just be a few minutes Love." Kori replied giving him a quick kiss.
"I love you Kev." She said before giving Liam a quick hug and headed towards the door.
~ "Try to keep Liam away from the bathroom please!"~
She thought to Luke and Devon has me made it outside and drove to the drugstore.
Fifteen minutes later she came back with a bag, inside was an electrolyte drink some crackers and a pregnancy test.
"Here you go Nana." Kori said leaving the package by the door.
"I don't know, bro..." Kevin mused, taking a sip of his drink. "I'm afraid of how she might react... are you going to tell Nana?" Liam shrugged, contemplating the liquid inside his glass for a moment. "Sometimes I want to, but I don't know how... and I don't want to ruin things, you know? We're good like this..." He admitted, taking another glance at the bathroom door.
Inside the bathroom, Nana gave Kori a faint smile. Although she hated to be seen like this, it felt good to have someone by her side. "Thank you... I'm better now." She said as she sat on the floor with her back against the wall. Even if she didn't feel like she was going to throw up any more, she felt too weak to stand. And if she hadn't been already pale as a ghost, after Kori's question she most definitely was. Pregnant? She couldn't be... could she? It's not like her and Liam had been taking precautions... everything had always been too passionate and impulsive about them, they were crazy about each other and none of them had seemed to care much about it. Still, they'd never discussed having a baby, and as much as Nana loved Liam and children, it was a serious question. "Oh my..." It was all she could mutter, still shocked, fingers running trough her dark hair. Then she looked up at her friend, visibly worried. "I could be... yes..."
Still lost in her own thoughts about what she was going to tell Liam if it were true, or how he could react, she almost didn't notice when Kori left the bathroom and Lucy came to stay with her. "Hey, Nana-chan!" The princess of Hell called cheerfully, sitting on the floor next to Nana. "You look like you've seen a ghost... what's wrong?" She asked, moving a strand of dark hair away from her friend's face. "Are you... why are you crying?" "I'm scared, Lu..." Nana sobbed, wrapping her arms around Lucy and crying a little more on her shoulder. Satan's daughter sighed, rubbing the girl's back. If a few years ago someone had told her that she'd be sitting on the floor of a club's bathroom comforting a mortal, she'd laugh loudly in that person's face and call them delusional. And yet here she was, truly caring for this defenseless being, wanting to stop her from being sad. "Why are you scared, Nana? Did Liam do anything to you? You can tell me, I'll..." "Pregnant. I might be pregnant, Lu..." Nana interrupted, placing her forehead against her knees to hide her face. "I don't know how to tell him..." "Oh..." Lucy blinked a couple of times, completely taken by surprise. She knew Liam, how reckless and selfish he was, but he seemed to care about Nana. She also knew he'd never told her anything about his true nature, and in that moment she really felt a strong impulse to tell Nana everything, for if she was having a half-demon baby she deserved to know. But it wasn't her place to do so, at least yet. "Well, let's wait for Kori... maybe it's just a scare. And if you're pregnant, you just tell him that. If he was man enough to help you make it, he's got to be man enough to stay by your side now." Lucy said with a shrug, like it was the most obvious thing in the world, and Nana giggled between her anxious tears. "See? Much better!" Lucy smiled, hugging her friend once more.
Watching as Kori left, Liam grew impatient. "Where the fuck is she going now? What's going on inside that damn bathroom?" He questioned, already getting up. "Fuck it, I'm going in..." "Wait, Liam! Maybe... it's just girls problems, you know?" Devon tried to stop him. "And Lucy is there with her, I'm sure everything's fine..." Groaning and rolling his eyes, Liam sat down again and ordered another drink. He had no idea what he meant by girls problems. Of course he knew girls got periods, but this seemed much more serious than that. Still, he decided to give his girlfriend some privacy and wait a little longer. After a while, Kori came back and rushed towards the bathroom, making Liam even more impatient than he already was, his blue eyes now glued to the door.
"Th-Thank you, Kori..." Nana stuttered, as her shaking hands grabbed the pregnancy test from inside the package and she entered the stall to take the test. "Good luck, girl! We're here for you!" Lucy tried to cheer, as she and Kori waited for their friend.
Some moments later, a very livid Nana came out, showing them the result. Two lines. A clearly positive pregnancy test.
"Nana?" Kori asked seeing the two marks and covered her mouth in surprise.
"Oh.. Well at least we know why you've been so sick." She said trying to lighten the mood while looking at Lucy not really sure what to do.
Then there was a knock on the restroom door.
"Are you girls doing alright?" Devon asked from the other side.
"Yeah Feathers, just a second." Kori said quickly before rubbing Nana's back before stepping out to talk with her brother.
"Liam is about to lost his shit." The angel said nodding towards the girls partners.
"Well he's going to wait, It's going to be while.."
Devon tilted his head. "She alright, do we need to someone?"
~"She's...., she's with child Feathers.."~
Kori thought giving him a look.
"Oh... Well, let us know what we can do." Devon replied heading back to the bar as
Liam stormed up to her with Kevin close behind. "What fuck is going on?!" The demon shouted, his eyes changing from bright blue to dark red.
"Hey don't talk to her like that!" Lucas yelled standing by his human while blocking Liam from the bathroom door.
Kori stepped back slightly seeing his eyes and behavior shift so quickly.
"I-It's okay Lu." She said regaining to composer.
" I... I got Nana some stuff to help the nausea, hopefully it will kick in and she'll be out soon, until then, maybe you guys should go home."
Kori added hoping Liam would get the hint and leave.
"I am not fucking leaving until I know what's wrong with my girlfriend!" Liam growled making Kori back into the wall.
"Alright that's enough you need to leave."
Devon ordered standing between Kori and the younger demons.
"Baby he didn't mean-" Kevin started seeing his girl looking at both of them in fear.
"P-Please go Kevin." The young woman stammered.
"Kori?" Kevin said carefully reaching for her.
"I SAID GO!" Kori shouted dipping back into the bathroom slamming the door behind her.
"You heard her get lost." Luke snapped escorting the two out of the building.
Kori stood there pretty shaken up looking at Lucy.
"Wh-What are they?"
Lucy's dark eyes widened as she glanced at the result of Nana's test. She should have been able to feel the little half-demon's energy, but maybe it was still too small. She had no idea, she'd never dealt with baby demons before. Or any babies for that matter. Still, she was quick to join Kori in trying to cheer up their friend. "Yes! And having both of you as parents, that kid is going to be gorgeous!" Lucy's intervention seemed to work, at least Nana let out a soft giggle and looked down at her own belly, placing a hand on it. As shocked as she was, and as unplanned as this whole situation had been, she loved Liam and she felt pride in carrying his child. Plus she'd always dreamed of becoming a mother someday. It just happened a little sooner than she'd imagined, but she knew she'd love and protect this baby from now on, no matter what.
"Take as long as you need, it's going to be fine." Lucy smiled, handing Nana the electrolyte drink Kori had brought. Taking a deep breath, Nana nodded and smiled, accepting the drink and taking a small sip, then another. The nausea had subsided by now and she felt some of her strength coming back.
Then she heard the commotion at the door, hearing a very worried Liam shouting at her friends. She couldn't blame him, though, as they'd been in there for quite a while now.
"Fuck you, Luke! I'm not leaving without my girlfriend!" Liam's now dark red eyes stared daggers at his fellow demon. Refusing to leave the building, he pushed the blonde out of his way and walked straight to the bathroom door once more. "Nana? Princess, what's wrong?" He called out as he knocked, pushing and pulling at the door as he tried to open it.
"I... should go to him..." Nana sighed. Of course she worried about Liam's reaction when she'd tell him, but she couldn't keep him waiting and worrying forever. "Thank you both so much for everything. You're the best friends in the whole wide world." She smiled wide, wrapping both Lucy and Kori in a warm embrace before she opened the door and was immediately pulled towards Liam. "What's wrong? I was so worried!" The blue eyed demon admitted, wrapping his arms around his human lover, then carefully observed her expression. "Are you okay?" Nana smiled and nodded, hugging him a little tighter. "Just... take me home, please. I'll tell you everything, I promise." "Sure, beautiful. Anything." He agreed, gently taking her hand as they made their way outside. "Yo, Kev! I'm taking your car. You can drive my bike." Liam decided, already handing him his keys and waiting for Kevin's in return. With a soft sigh, the dark blonde demon complied. There was no point in arguing with Liam anyway.
Once Liam drove off with Nana, Kevin went back inside and made his way to the bathroom, inside which Kori was still with Lucy. He didn't really know why Kori had seemed so afraid of him, but he felt like he owed her an explanation. This had truly been a weird evening.
Lucy had heard Kori's question, but decided to remain silent until Nana was gone. It would be better if Liam told her himself. But since Kori had asked, she'd tell her. "Demons, Kori. You're dating an incubus. So is Nana."
"An Incubus?" Kori repeated. "I... I knew they weren't human but.."
She stuttered, running a hand through her own dark hair.
"So is anything we're feeling even real?"
She asked looking at her friend before hearing her Kevin just outside.
"BabyGirl, are you alright?" He asked leaning against the door frame.
"I'll be right out Kevin." Kori replied trying to calm herself down, before looking back at Lucy.
"Wish me luck." She half joked before opening the door seeing her boyfriend.
"Hey, everything okay?" Kevin asked wrapping his arm around his girl.
Kori nodded burying her head into his chest, she thought she felt true love for Kevin and wanted what they had to be real.
But now knowing the truth, everything he said, the feelings she had, was it all a lie?
" I...I know.." Kori mumbled holding him a little tighter.
"What was that Baby?" Kevin asked gently lifting her chin.
"I know what you are Kevin." She repeated, seeing the expression on the young man's face, she almost wished she hadn't.
"What,h-how?" Kevin stammered, he been so careful, how could she possibly know?
"Liam's eyes." Kori replied carefully removing the demon's arms from her waist.
"Does it matter? I certainly didn't hear about it from you."
"Kori, I...I didn't mean.." Kevin tried to explain as she back away from him.
"You didn't mean to not tell me,or didn't mean for me to find out?"
"I didn't mean for you to find out... like this, I mean." Kevin admitted with a sigh, following Kori. "It's just... I really like what we've got going on, I didn't want you to be scared of me and risk losing you.... I love you. Believe me, I do." The incubus admitted, taking Kori's hand in his and gently stroking it.
Whatever had happened, he was still mad at Liam for his lack of self control. "Liam had no right of exposing us like that..." He muttered, more to himself than for Kori to hear, but he knew she'd heard him nonetheless. " I meant to tell you when the right time came..." He reassured, then sighed once more. "What was that all about, anyway? Is Nana sick? Is it serious?" Despite everything, he knew how Liam cared about the mortal girl and how pissed off he'd be if anything happened to her.
In the meantime, Lucy returned to her boyfriend. "Those two are incorrigible... well, at least now they'll know. I felt bad for not telling the girls about those two." The princess of Hell admitted, taking a sip of her drink.
A little while later, Liam and Nana arrived at her place. After helping her lay down on the couch, he made her some tea and sat beside her. "How are you feeling, beautiful?" The demon asked, fingers running through the girl's dark hair. "I'm better now, love. Thank you." She smiled, sitting up and taking a sip of tea. "But uh... there's something I really need to tell you..." "Of course, anything. I was really worried about you..." Blue eyes staring into her dark ones, he awaited what she had to tell him. "So... uh... I'm... we... we're going to have a baby." She tried to choose the best words, then let out a soft, nervous giggle. But the only response she got was a blink, then silence. Silence that went on for too long, until she decided to break it. "Liam? Aren't you going to say anything?"
But he didn't know what to say or how to feel about this. Becoming a father had never been a possibility for him, he never even thought he could actually impregnate a mortal woman.
"I... you can't be. I can't... it's not possible." He mumbled, trying to make some sense of what she'd told him. "I am... I took a test. Look..." She reached into her purse, grabbing the positive pregnancy test and handing it to Liam. "Two lines equals baby." "It's not even a baby...." He muttered to himself, fingers running through his dark hair, but Nana heard him nonetheless and it hurt her feelings. "Fine, call it a fetus then. It's still ours..." She frowned, instinctively placing her hand on her belly. "That's not what I... you don't understand..." He sighed, getting up and starting to pace back and forth in the living room, rubbing his neck. He dreaded this moment. "Look, I'm not exactly who you think I am... I'm not... human, Nana." Now it was her turn to stay silent, dark eyes widening in disbelief. "What do you mean..." "This, I mean this." He sat down beside her and placed his fingers on her temples. Only then, she saw his true form - dark red eyes, sharp teeth, pale grey skin, long dark curved horns. Things she'd ever only seen in horror movies, which were actually some of her favourites. And yet his features were still Liam's, and his touch on her skin still felt the same. Maybe because of that she didn't flinch, she just kept looking into his now glowing red eyes, until he removed his hands and his eyes were blue again, his human features as they had always been. "That is how I really am, Nana. I'm a demon, of the incubus kind. I feed off vital energy, obtained mostly though sex. I've done and seen terrible things. I'm a despicable being and that thing inside you will be just like me. You must get rid of it."
She frowned. The Liam she'd known was good and kind. "Don't say that... I love you. And I already love our baby, no matter what he or she is. They'll be so loved and raised well." She reassured with a smile, gently caressing her own belly. "I don't even know how to be a father... I never had one... and even if I did want to be one, it's not possible. Not with you..." He started, but a now angry Nana interrupted him. "Not with me? Why? Because it won't be a pure breed demon, is that it? Or is it because you don't even love me?" She fought back the tears forming in her eyes. "It's exactly because I love you, woman!" He retorted, visibly distressed. "That thing will kill you! It will feed off your energy too. That's why you're always sick, now I understand. I can't and I won't lose you. That thing must go." "Stop calling our child that thing..." Nana pleaded. "It is our baby, it was made with love and I'd never forgive myself... I will be a good mother, and if I must die so our kid can live, so be it." Tears rolled down her face, but she was decided. "You can't..." Liam groaned. "I won't stick around to watch you die." He stormed out, slamming the door behind him and leaving an incredulous, heartbroken Nana behind.
"People can't help who they fall in love with Babe." Luke replied lightly kissing his girlfriend's cheek.
"It's shouldn't have come from you,if they actually cared, they should've told the girls from the start."
He added watching the couple's reaction.
"And when would have that been Kevin? Next week from never?"
Kori asked coldly, she was really tempted to pull away at that moment
"Don't.. Please don't say that." She said softly.
Kevin swallowed at her words, she didn't mean it, sure she was upset but feelings like they had couldn't just stop.
"No,I love you BabyGirl, you know I do."
The man persisted pulling her into him.
"I thought did..." Kori replied gently pushing him away.
"I truly thought you did love me,and I you.
But now... Kevin, I don't even know if can trust my own feelings anymore."
The green eyed demon stepped back, hearing her saying those things, felt his heart sinking.
"You can! I never made you feel... I mean I did.." Kevin stuttered, everything he said just seemed to be making it worse.
Kori shook her head while wiping tears from her eyes. "That's what I thought."
She sighed feeling her phone go off and seeing a text from Nana.
"Liam knows about the baby, he left,I need to pick up Nan."
She sniffled putting her phone away.
"What baby?" Kevin asked as his girl headed towards the door.
"Kori talk to me!" He demanded grabbing her by the wrist.
"Let me go Kevin." Kori ordered not looking at him.
"No not until you tell me what's going on." Kevin argued.
Kori finally had enough, if energy was all Kevin wanted, then she'd give it to him.
She turned around and gave him a one last kiss, along with her feelings of love, sadness and pain she felt at that moment.
They stayed like that until Kevin let her go.
"You're going be to an uncle.." She whispered before walking out the door.
A few minutes later she arrived to the boys apartment, luckily they told her where their spare key was.
"Nana, are you here?" She asked as she entered the complex.
"Yes... you're right, babe." Lucy nodded, drinking some more. "But to be fair, I kinda understand them... most mortals have a hard time accepting our existence, and when they do... there's that look of fear in their eyes, you know?" The princess of Hell mused, distractedly playing with her boyfriend's fingers. "Oh well, there are bigger problems ahead now... Nana will have a hard time with that baby. I know my mother did, I read all about it in her diaries. Dad gave them to me when I turned 100."
Meanwhile, Kevin stood in his place, overwhelmed by all the feelings Kori's energy contained, and he watched as she left. Was it forever? Did she just dump him? No, it couldn't be... this was all a misunderstanding, right? Also, what was all that talk about a baby? Whose baby? Not really knowing what to do, he decided to call Liam, but his friend wouldn't answer.
[text: Kevin] Liam? Where the fuck are you? Need to talk. [text: Liam] Beach
The dark blonde demon frowned. Something was very wrong with everyone today. Liam had left with Nana, who wasn't feeling good. Why would he be at the beach this late at night? Intrigued, he drove off on his friend's motorbike at met him sitting on a rock, throwing stones at the sea. Even watching from afar, he could tell Liam was furious. "What's wrong, mate?" Kevin approached him from behind. "Pregnant, bro. She's fucking pregnant..." The blue eyed demon spat, throwing another stone. "What? Oh..." Kevin widened his green eyes. Finally he understood. "Fuck... now what?" "I told her everything, I warned her... she can't keep that thing, or she's gonna die... but she won't fucking listen to me... why is she so stubborn, mate?" Liam's voice faltered, it was the first time Kevin had seen him like this. "I tried so hard, you know? Not to hurt her... and now I hurt her all the same, she'll die anyway. I should never have got so attached to a human..." "Hey it's not..." Kevin wanted to comfort him, to tell him that it wasn't his fault, but it was, at least partially. "What are you going to do now, bro?" "Nothing, there's nothing I can do. I killed the only woman I've ever loved. It won't happen again. I'll just focus on getting energy, and life goes on. It has to." Liam retorted and lit a cigarette. He was harsh, but he was really trying to convince himself. "Yeah... I think Kori broke up with me too..." Kevin sighed, sitting next to his friend. "Smart one, at least she won't die too." Liam took a drag.
At the demons' apartment, Nana got up as she heard Kori approaching. Still sobbing, she hugged her best friend. "He left, Kori... he doesn't want us anymore..."
Luke chuckled. "Well it's pretty clear those two are a bit more trusting than most humans. I still have a hard time believing Kori forgave me after all I did, especially to her."
He said watching walk out the door, feeling slightly bad for the younger demon.
Kevin glared at his friend's remark.
"Big talk for the guy who ratted us out."
Liam let out a puff of smoke and turned to the dark blonde.
"Look Man, I'm sorry I flipped out on her , but this may be for the best , guys like us... We're better off not being tied down."
Kevin shook head unconvinced.
"If this is "better off" then I don't want it."
He replied looking at the water.
"Oh Nana." Kori said hugging her back.
"It's gonna be okay." She added gently rubbing the soon to be mother's back.
Once Nana had calmed down, they gathered up her belongings, set the spare key on the counter and left.
On the way home, they stopped at the local bakery, where Kori got Nana her favorite shaved ice.
"Mahalo, Auntie!" Kori called out before stepping back into her car.
"Here you Nana, you're going to be nice to your mommy right kiddo?" She joked offering her the frozen treat.
When they finally made it back to their own apartment, the dogs were extremely happy to see Nana as they sniffed her belly.
Even Raider who was usally a rough and tumble kind of dog, rested his muzzle on her lap when she sat down.
"Who needs a pregnancy test when you have dogs?" Kori laughed setting Nana's stuff by her room before texting Liam and Kevin.
[To Liam: I got Nan home, we locked up.]
The one to Kevin was a lot harder to write.
[ I need some time to figure things out...
I'll talk to you soon.]
Tears began to fall as she pressed send, she held her face in her hands letting out a muffled sob before wiping her eyes, she couldn't break down now, not when her best friend needed her.
"How ya doing Nan?" She asked re-entering the living room.
Kori spent most of the night taking care of Nana and doing everything she could to avoid going into her room.
"Smart one, at least she won't die too." Liam took a drag.
At the demons' apartment, Nana got up as she heard Kori approaching. Still sobbing, she hugged her best friend. "He left, Kori... he doesn't want us anymore..."
