“ Alright, Akane..go get her! “
Grinned Teruya, as he gently nudged Akane to go along. As he hurried to the kitchen. For a trio with opposite personalities, they seemed to mesh together really well!
Akane nodded her head, letting out a small breath. She needed to act natural, to seem like something wasn’t up of course!
“Ooooh, Mitsume! Come on, we have something amazing planned! For this despair filled day! ”
The former maid exclaimed, with a bright grin as she knocked on the girls door. Eventually opening it herself only to see that Kokoro was huddled in blankets on her ipad.
“ Are you ever off that thing? Anyway, come on! “
Akane exclaimed, Kokoro looking up from her ipad with a softened expression. Reluctantly getting up from the huddled covering she had grown so fond off. Still, she wasn’t paying her mind to it to much.
“ Lead the way, Ms. Taira. “
Replied the girl, as she let out a soft yawn to which Akane grinned. Grabbing her hand and pulling her along quite eagerly.
“ Close your eyes, ya hear!”
Kokoro let out a sigh, but did as she was told. Since Akane had her hand and was pulling her along, she wasn’t worried to much about running into something. Still, she was quite curious about what was in store for her. As far as she knew, it was relatively a normal day.
“ It’s something hella cool, I can assure you of that! “
Akane boasted, a small snicker in her tone as her steps soon started to slow down. Gently pulling Kokoro inside somewhere now.
“ Alright, you can open your eyes. “
She stated in a softer tone, now as she then released Kokoro’s hand. Which she opened her eyes to..darkness? Only to be suddenly blinded by bright lights, and confetti?
“ SURPRISE ! ! ! ! “
Exclaimed both Teruya and Akane, turns out. A surprise birthday party! Kokoro was..rather taken back by that. Judging by her astonished expression, before she calmed herself.
“ I...seemed to have forgotten my birthday, thank you both. Ms. Taira..and Mr. Otori. “
It was rare, but Kokoro had a genuine smile spread across her face. She was..happy.
“Happy birthday Kokoro! I got you a present!” Emma just appeared from out of nowhere. Totally not because I’m a fucking dumbass and didn’t realize Kokoro’s birthday was on the sixth and want to get this out before the sixth passes. “Here! I’m hoping you enjoy it!” Emma smiles gently, holding out a box wrapped in pink wrapping paper with little hearts all over said wrapping paper.
“ Did you? Thank you..Ms. Magarobi. ”
Kokoro was rather puzzled, but her smile didn’t seem to fade. In fact, it seemed to increase just a smidge. “ I greatly appreciate it.. ” Gently taking the box from her, was honestly looking forward to opening it.
“ Told ya she was going to show up, Teruya! It was meant to be! ”
Akane snickered, with a grin appearing on her face.
“ Maybe it was, it’s good to see you, Emma! ”
Teruy chirped, with a bright smile.
“Yep! It’s good to see you Teruya! Been rather busy, but finally got a break in my schedule and I realized that today was Kokoro’s birthday, so figured I’d used today to get that gift for Kokoro! I think she’ll like it! You too Teruya!” Emma’s smile also had a hint of mischievousness. Although, what sounded like Mikado’s voice was heard coming from... the box?! “I’M GOING TO GET YOU BACK FOR THIS MS MAG-” “Shake the box and he’ll shut up.”
“Well, I guess since the gift gave itself away... It’s a tablet that has an A.I. Mikado on it that you can whack with a hammer and shake the tablet to make him nauseous. Basically, a ‘Get Back at the Mastermind’ simulator...” Oh... So that’s the gift... An A.I. Mikado Teruya and Kokoro could exact their revenge on. Creative, and very clever. “Trust me, I played around with it.”
“It’s very therapeutic, if I must confess.”
