It’s sad that the people close to me all know different versions of me because I portray myself differently depending on the people I am with. I change how I act because I tell myself if they judge, they are judging someone that is not real. They judge the character that I play. It is a way to protect myself from the world because no one can judge someone they don’t know exist. I never feel truly myself with anybody except when I am alone. It’s can be lonely sometimes. But I’d rather be lonely than hurt.
