Her White Globe - ROCHHER
“Hey! Stop crying. You crazy woman. I’m all yours now”, said her white globe, popping out of the cardboard box. The tiny cotton ball kept suspiciously frowning, when her eyes were experiencing a high tide of bliss. Sparkling eyes with pinky paws kept scratching her face, when she was squeezing him in cuddles too much.
Once upon a time, there lived a girl with life, damaged much. Faking happiness over stress was her move. Everything was hallucinating at a faster pace, leaving her still in the middle. Escaping, was the road she planned to take. She decided to eliminate herself from life rather than sinking in middle. When there was no light to break up the dark- ROCHHER popped! The fragile cotton ball ignited his spinning engine, when all she wanted was escape. Her life started revolving around the white Globe.
“It was 17th November 2016, when I held him for the 1st time, it felt as if I’m nuturing my infant. Like I have always wanted a dog for myself, someone who would endlessly listen to all my shit. Rochher came as a blessing. When my world was falling apart, he came in as my saviour” , said Ishita.
Someone with great knowledge about life said - happy days don’t last long ! Rochher eloped her from the damage and promised not to leave her side. Who knew, one day she would ask him to go? It was a warm winter morning, when the doc. said “he is Parvo Positive, prepare yourself”. Her emotions were flooding the shore, yet proclaiming not to accept. Like seriously? It was just yesterday, when he flipped out from that cardboard box.
“Duh! Don’t start crying now. You crazy woman! We will get through this”,
said Rochher sipping his 1st drip at the VET. Daily visits to Mr. White Coat was their routine now. They were fighting through it like a team. But who knew the nightmare would be coming so soon. It was the chilled christmas eve, when kids were expecting Santa visits, while the nightmare was knocking her doors.
“ Wake up, something is happening, I can’t move and there are these fluids coming. I’m precipitating I guess. Do anything but don’t start crying. Duh”, said Rochher with rolling eyes.
Wiping her tears away, all Ishita could manage to say was - GO. I won’t cry. She turned away with shedding tears. And the warm furry cotton ball turned to ice.
A dog who promised to stick by her side, now had to leave. Because she asked him to.
“ PLEASE. LIVE. And Don’t CRY. I’ll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge. Whenever you cry, I’ll ask one of my cloud friend to thunderstorm you. P.S. - “Look. I can camouflage with my new cloud friends now, you know they are white and I’m your white globe. LOL. ~ Rochher
