man, i completely forgot about this account.
"Stop," he pleaded with a laugh, finding her notion to be just too much over the top. Though that's exactly what she was, always bubbling over the rim. It's what made her special. "I don't even know your last name. I don't even know where you live, besides in my bedroom!" He knew she wasn't serious, but it reminded him of all the things he had to still learn about her. Though strangely enough, he felt as though he's known her forever.
"Let's start over", he began, eyes watching the ceiling as he contemplated all of the things she would initially have to know about him. "So my last name's Phantomhive, I have an aunt in the states who's a doctor, I drink coffee more than anything else, my favorite food is cake, I like to read, my favorite color is dark blue, and I like murder mysteries. And summer time. ...And the rain. Good enough?"
Amused, Elizabeth listened intently to all the little details about himself, happy to be getting to know him better. Phantomhive was certainly an interesting surname. Crazy ideas led to thinking, 'Elizabeth Phantomhive', and that she could 'dig it in a few years'.
"Believe it or not, my full name is Elizabeth Ethel Cordelia Midford--a mouthful, I know, but people I like can call me Lizzie. I've an older brother off in college named Edward. Springtime is my favourite season because I love all the baby animals and I can wear lots of dresses. I like cherry blossom pink the best and I'm really into Victorian fashion. But I've also an interest in the Medieval era; jousting, knights... all that jazz, and I adore Billy Shakes. Shakespeare, I mean." She teasingly added, "Good enough?"
It were as if his entire life took a jagged turn. Here was this girl he should never end up with, confessing that she'd be fine if they'd spend their lives together. As soulmates, on top of that. Sometimes, he feels as though this is a hazing stunt. This should never happen to him, ever. But there was just something about her that made him trust everything she said. It would be his fault later on if he were dumb enough to fall for a trick, and it would hurt more than anything. But right now, he believed she was also taking that jagged turn for something worth her time.
"...You're nuts," he laughed after a moment of taking it all in. Snaking his arms around her in a snug embrace, he drew out a comfortable sigh as he opened his eyes once more. "But okay. We'll be soulmates. And I suppose that grants you access to my room whenever you'd like. For naps, or secret meetings or...whatever else. I'll make sure the window is left unlocked. How's that work for you?"
"I'm not nuts, you're nuts," Elizabeth retorted with a laugh. She wiggled a bit in his grip so she could be close enough to his face to give him an affectionate kiss on the tip of his nose. This whole relationship really was pretty ridiculous. In less than a week they'd already done an incredible amount of rule-breaking things-- she didn't mind. Breaking down that 'perfect' son module was fun. "Works perfectly," she agreed. "I'll be sure to sneak in and wake up at two AM every day."
That was only maybe an exaggeration. If she couldn't sleep, sure, she'd definitely be finding her way to his house. "We could do what soulmates do and discuss our future lives and plans together," the blonde teased with a grin. "An outdoors wedding. Three dogs-- no, four. A small house in the countryside, maybe. And.. two kids. Two is a good number."

Honestly the woman could go on all day about a name that might not even be used. She plans all of these girl names, but what happens if she has a boy? It'll all be for nothing. He'd have to snap her out of that; he knew she was excited and there was nothing he wanted more than just that.
But rather than hearing more of her obnoxious names, he decided to distract her from the argument by guiding her away from the desk, walking backwards towards the door with her hands in his. "I...suggest that maybe we hold off on the name ideas for now. Why don't we take a little break from everything instead? Crawl into that little bubble of ours...pretend like nobody else is here, hm?" He mused with a smile, leading her across the hallway and into their master bedroom, pushing the door shut with his foot. "I wait all day for this pastime."
Elizabeth knew that the change of subject was only a distraction because he'd be listening for hours of her whining before he'd give in and let her choose the most extravagant, long-winded name on the planet just because she could. So, with little more than a small huff, she allowed him to lead her away to the bedroom.
"You wouldn't have to wait if you didn't work so much," the blonde retorted. She immediately climbed onto the bed, hand on her stomach, and settled back against the abundance of pillows. Goodness, did it feel good to be off her feet and alone with Ciel. "I should always be your top priority," she said with a pout homing itself on her features, though it soon turned into a soft smile as she reached out to him. "Come here, husband."

Ciel wrinkled his nose, as he's always done when he finds something disagreeable. Naturally, Elizabeth turned towards the more extravagant, fancy names. Not to get on his high horse, but it was enough of an honor to be a Phantomhive. All they would need is something simple, the icing on the cake, the sugar in the tea.
"Mm, too flashy. Why not...something simple? Something like...Anna. Annabelle. It certainly has a nice ring to it, doesn't it? She would already be told how special she is; she wouldn't have to be told with an extravagant name. Let's not forget your mother ran to the hills with your name, Elizabeth Ethel Cordelia...", he teased with a sweet smile, taking note that royalty does not have to come with a name the poor child can hardly spell.
Elizabeth couldn't help liking the fancier names. They sounded so pretty and regal. She never was one for simple. Hmph. So much for getting to choose what she wanted. She shook her head at Ciel's suggestion. "I like my name," she indignantly huffed. Her poor husband. He wouldn't be escaping this 'argument' very easily. "She can be special with an extravagant name too. Like.. Emmeline, or Gwendoline, or Sylvia, or maybe Pricilla.."
The man smiled into the kiss, climbing from his chair as he parted from her. "Hm...haven't we settled on a single name these seven months?", he questioned, bringing his hands to lace fingers with hers as he pulled his lady up from her seat in order to pull her close. Certainly had he been his younger self, he would've been annoyed with interruptions. But these days, nothing enlightened him more than the small, sometimes several breaks with his wife.
Leaning back against his desk, he slipped a hand from one of hers to linger along her side instead, tracing the curve of her hip with his fingers. "Every time I go back to it, I can't ignore it; if we have a boy, I would find Vincent to be most fitting. And I know you've had that same idea since we were kids. However...if we have a girl, I would want it to be something chosen by you. Something new, yeah? So that then when she has children, she can name her daughter after you...and so forth...".
That much was true; she had wanted to name her own kids after Ciel's parents since she was a kid herself. She saw it as a kind gesture of remembrance and sentiment. After all, they weren't strangers to Elizabeth. She'd grown up with them. They were dear to her heart too. So, a smile pulled up at her lips when her husband finally agreed that a son should be named after his father.
The only problem now was that she had to pick a name for a daughter. There were so many choices--and although she would like to pick Rachel, Ciel would likely turn down the idea. Something new, he said. "But there are so many things I could choose!" she complained with a pout. "There's... Amelia. Or maybe Eleanor. Or Lydia.. Ophelia? Alice, May.." She trailed off. There were one too many names that she liked. "..What about Hope?" the blonde finally suggested with a tilt of her head.
Having never expected a child, Ciel isn't quite knowledgable with the process and procedure, but while they're under the care of a wonderful doctor, Ciel was mainly mesmerized over just how being pregnant can turn his wife into someone even more breathtaking than ever before. Her face was always glowing, the curves of her body made her all the more desirable, and most important of all, she was constantly beaming. They couldn't have been more blessed.
Scooting his chair close enough to Elizabeth, he leaned over and observed her full womb while she pressed his hand to the surface. As if he couldn't make a single sound or breathe a single breath, he held it all in until he felt slight movement. He nearly jumped, surprised at the response. "Oh...there it is...", he grinned, raising his blue eyes to Elizabeth with anticipation. "Mm, but I don't doubt that they'll take after their mother, most of all."
Leaving a gentle hand on her stomach, he leaned over and offered her a sweet, lingering kiss to her lips, his freehand brushing her long blonde hair from her eyes. "Whatever it is, my darling, I'll be happy no matter what. Though...without explanation, I'd hope I could give you a daughter. You'd finally have your own little dress-up doll", Ciel joked with a light chuckle, leaning down to place a small kiss to the top of her stomach. "You hear that, little bird? Regardless of who you are, you'll be forced to don all of the most humiliating outfits for as long as your mother wants you to. And trust me, it'll be every holiday, every party, every occasion."
"Ciel!" Lizzie laughed, giving him a playful flick on the shoulder. "The outfits I pick out are never humiliating, they're cute," she insisted, though very well knew that maybe sometimes her ideas did get a little over the top--but she couldn't help it. She loved the attention, and she loved the parties for special events. Any other ordinary day she would be content spending it solely at Ciel's side. But he was right. She probably would end up dressing their son or daughter up in little outfits all the time.
This time it was the lady's turn to pull her husband into a kiss; she loved this man with all her heart, and now she'd be able to love their child, too. And she'd invest all of her power into keeping their family safe. "We still need a name, you know," she said when she parted lips, teasingly adding, "I don't think 'little bird' will be suitable their entire life."
Am I the only one seeing this??
Ciel didn't think he'd make it this far, almost positive he wouldn't see past his sixteenth birthday. His life had been spared and he was able to carry on with new objectives, one of them being spending a life he'd originally wanted with Elizabeth, to grow with her and watch her happiness carry her from one day to the next. He'd given her the most extravagant wedding, as well as a gift they can both cherish; a child.
Just like in his younger years, Ciel still works vigorously as one of the busiest business owners he knows, aside from his own partners, but finds that with his satisfaction with the outcome of his life, a majority of his bitterness has subsided, and he's only happy for his blossoming wife. Raising his eyes from his papers at his desk, he smiles sweetly at the blonde woman bouncing into the room. "Ah--Is that so? C'mere, let's see how our baby bird is doing."
Elizabeth was more than willing to share this exhilarating moment with her husband. After everything that had gone wrong, Ciel deserved every bit of happiness they could muster. He was happier, significantly so, she could tell. Happier than he was in his childhood. The young woman took the guest's chair and brought it around to the other side of the desk, setting it parallel to his. She comfortably nestled down into it before reaching out to take his hands, placing them on her stomach.
"I think our baby bird is excited as I am," she laughed, the baby's moving about being a strange new sensation for her. She couldn't wait to meet the new little member of the family. "I wish I knew if we were having a daughter or son. But I like the surprise. I bet they're going to look just like you!"
It felt like it had taken centuries to hit the milestone of marriage. But finally.. finally Ciel and Elizabeth had gotten there. The lady couldn‘t have been happier to be an official Phantomhive. Especially with a new member on the way. When she first found out she was pregnant, she was bubbling with excitement. She still was, seven months in. Lizzie, too, was still a bright eyed young woman even in her adulthood. And so, peeking her head into her husband‘s office, she decided he wouldn‘t mind being distracted from work. “Ciel!“ the blonde chimed, letting herself in the room. She was almost bouncing on her toes. “Ciel--the baby is moving a lot!“
This uncute appeareance, i didn't want you of all the people to see me in such a state. But this time i will protect you.
"Apparently the rumor mill has it that you're using me as part of a dare? See how far you'll get with me before you shut me down and humiliate me in front of all of your friends? I've been a popular subject to gossip over today, in case you haven't noticed."
“And you should know better than anyone to listen to them. They’re only rumours for a reason. They aren’t true, and people are just looking to stir trouble between us.”
[ the-watch-dog ]
Ciel quietly heaved through his attack, uncontrollable yet soft tears streaming down his cheeks. It was nothing he forced for her empathy, but rather something he would’ve otherwise been fine with hiding. He’d been doing rather well this past month, but rumor after rumor became too troublesome to just ignore, as he’d been told to do otherwise. He forced a small smile with a nod, choking back another sob. “I-I can run…for miles if you made me…but I can’t stand at the front of a crowded room, n-not if my life depended on it. Funny, isn’t it? I want to be noticed but when I am, I seem to j-just…fall apart? But you, you at least let me forget all of it, but only when I’m around you. I can’t…really do it alone, I try…”
A small, reassuring smile pulled up at Elizabeth's lips. One hand lifted to calmly wipe off his tear-stained cheek. "It's okay, Ciel," she promised. Had he told her earlier, she might have done something about those rumours sooner. She knew now, anyway, and she could deal with them herself. "It's nothing to be embarrassed about. Not everyone can handle pressure like that all the same, yeah? I don't think any less of you. You're still a wonderful, caring and sweet boy. And you don't need to do this alone. You have me."
