Kamala Harris would be the first female president, the first black female president, the first mixed race female president. She’s intelligent, poised, and assertive. 

Sounds good, but we can’t let those things cloud our judgement. Kamala has a history of backing decisions that negatively impact black and brown people. 

Here’s just a few of her transgressions:

• Spent years jailing disproportionately black nonviolent cannabis users

• Voted two different times to block federal funding for abortions

• Pushed a law that forces schools to turn undocumented students over to ICE, separating them from their parents and violating human rights

• Opposed reforming California’s three-strikes law, which is the only one in the country to impose life sentences for minor felonies and incarcerates black people at 12x the rate as white people, three different times, even while her Republican opponent supported reform

These aren’t even close to all of the terrible policies she’s helped put in place. Kamala having African-American heritage does not make her a sister.

Hopefully one day we’ll live in a world where men will stop being praised for shit they should automatically be doing.

Cleaning up, cooking, being faithful, having good hygiene, taking care of their kids, having better emotional intelligence, expressing empathy, not being disrespectful misogynists, not being violent towards women,etc, etc.

It’s mind blowing and frustrating seeing the praise that men get for just simply being decent human beings.

It just goes to show there is no bar or standard set for them to be decent human beings.
