Just deal with them later
and then later never comes,
and it’s all good, bro. It’s all good in the hood.

If you truly believe that beauty is within, you must either be a really happy person or on the brink of massive internal reform.
I'm burning my bridges at the speed of light
Rationale
There’s so much crap everywhere.
It can start to all get a little bit too much sometimes.
But there’s also plenty of gems, “diamonds in the rough”, if you will - you’ve just gotta make sure to look around for them; and believe that volcanic eruptions were indeed the cause.

Don't tell em shit.
At the end of the day, you’re just another rebel.
- but worse, because you can’t even admit to being one (and also because you’re probably too far out of the angry-teenager age range to even qualify).
It’s in nearly everything you do. The reckless ideas that will forever remain inexplicable. The times you drop your commitments for spontaneous plans. Your refusal to acknowledge that you want the same thing every last person on this godforsaken planet wants.
Then again, if you’re considered a “rebel” by any standard, you’re only out of line with societal constructs... and who’s the authority there? It doesn’t even matter, because the only person you should ever care about answering to is yourself.
I guess what I’m saying here is that you’re only really a rebel if you’re rebelling against yourself - and man, that is a stupid thing to do, for lack of better vocabulary.
The hiatus is over
...for the time being, until I can figure out what to do with all the humiliating historical nonsense preceding this (and because I’ve forgotten my journal at home)
It's not our abilities that show what we really are; it is our choices.

Do it for yourself
The sad but honest truth is that usually nobody around here is obliged to give or do anything for you in return for most of the things you do. If you're expecting anything, chances are you won't get it.
*This isn't pessimism, it's realism. And now, for the optimism (as always):
So if you're going to invest your energy, heart, and soul into something (or someone), do it not with the intention of gaining anything in return except for the fruits of experience. Do it for yourself. And be sure to remember that when it's time to receive, and nothing comes. Remember what you gained.
