Spinnerette Review
SuppHello everyone it is the WCCritic back again and today I am reviewing spinnerette so lets get started. The story is about a girl named heather who due to a lab accident she gains 6 arms and spider abilities. Now before you go saying it is a spiderman rip off I need you to read the comic and hear me out. It may seem like a spiderman rip off but it is a very character heavy and action filled webcomic that only shares a similar start with spiderman. The story goes in arcs like actual comic books which is a change from how most webcomics go but it works very well with it’s comic and anime hybrid style and has interesting and engaging characters whether they be the heroes or villains. As you progress through the story you see a change with every character and see great character growth and a fine example of clear and focused chapters. It is a few hundred pages to read through but it excels in story telling, art, and detail.
All in All I give spinerette a 9/10. The action is great when there is some, the story is serious but can be light-hearted too and the characters actually feel like they could be real people. The comic updates typically I think 2 times a week though I may be wrong but the only flaw I feel is sometimes the story drags a few things on too much not much but a few things. And a few of the characters you can tell were probably inspired from already established comic heroes which isn’t bad but still can be noticed.
