Out of Scrolls: Hiatus

This has nothing to do with any of you -- I'm blaming myself entirely for this. I just seem to have lost my muse here, and I can't work up the motivation to do any of my drafted replies. You guys deserve the best replies, and I don't think I can give them to you right now.

Now, this isn't a permanent hiatus, I promise. I'm hoping to be back soon, and hopefully my writing will be much better than what it currently is. I don't want to risk disappointing you guys with half-hearted replies right now -- you deserve much better than that.

If any of you would still like to keep in contact with me while I'm away, just ask me for my Skype, or if you don't want that, you can reach me on my other RP account here. 

Once again, I'm terribly sorry about springing this on you all right now. I feel absolutely terrible about leaving you all like this, but I just can't bring myself to do anything on here right now. :c Please don't hate me. Or do. ))

Akari grabbed Kiba’s gestured hand to shake it. “It’s nice to meet you, too,” Akari said softly. Akari motioned towards his books. “No, this is my second semester here. If you can’t already tell, I spend a lot of time in the library. I’m either there or in my room when I’m not in class.” Kiba snapped his fingers as if he had figured out a tough riddle. “That’s right! Your the bookworm who has a new book in his hand ever 10 minutes!” Akari sighed at the bookworm comment. “Yes, that would be me…” 

"Hey, it’s not a bad thing." Kiba chuckled. "I personally can’t get through a book without falling asleep on the first page." Akari laughed. "Maybe you’re just not reading the right books."

Kiba shook his head, another chuckle passing through his lips. "Maybe I'm not, but I think I'll just leave the reading to you." He took a quick glance behind him, seeing Shino and Hinata just standing there, looking rather awkward. He turned back to face Akari, an apologetic smile on his face. "I better let you leave. You were on your way out when we bumped into each other, anyway. But we should hang out sometime, man. We gotta get you out of that library every once in a while." Pulling out a notebook and a pen from his backpack, Kiba wrote his cell phone number down on a piece of paper and handed it to Akari. "You can text me anytime, man. See ya around!" 

Speaking of texting... Tenten had completely forgotten to send Akari the directions to the restaurant! Realizing this shortly after she laid down for her nap, she groaned, rolling off of her bed and walking over to her desk to get the paper he had given her. She saved his number in her phone, then sent him a text: To: Akari

[6:11] Hey Akari, it's Tenten. So, directions. You know where the science building is, right? On the corner by the building, take a right, then keep going straight for about a block. The restaurant will be on your right - you can't miss it. 

[6:13] Oh! And how was meeting Kiba? ;)

He chuckled lightly nodding. “Yeah, yeah CinnaBuns though.” He snorted once more before shaking his head. “I’m done, i’m done.” He wiped a fake tear just to be dramatic. “Why not? I can throw my own right now, party of one. Me. Unless of course you want to join. Than it’ll be party of two.” He shrugged tugging lightly on his sweater. “I don’t talk like that around all my customers. Only those who I know won’t rat on me.”

She rolled her eyes once again, this time at the overly dramatic wiping away of the tear. "Good, because if you do start calling me CinnaBuns, I might have to hurt you." She smirked, chuckling lightly. Taking another small sip of her water, she shrugged her shoulders. "Make it a party of two, then. I'd rather not go back out there with all of those other people." The smirk on her face only grew wider at his next sentence. "What makes you think I won't rat you out, hmm? You don't know me well enough to assume that I won't."

Oops! || Shino & Tenten

Shino of course, had been rather upset that his girlfriend had suddenly vanished again right after saying she wasn’t going to do that. He hadn’t heard from her on christmas, or new years, and he was fairly certain that mean that she was trying to get away from him and signal their breakup. 

Of course, it did not take Tenten long to find him; Shino was doing his rounds as all the aburame did. Just because his personal life was a bit depressing did not mean that he was going to slack off with work. He was a professional, first and foremost. 

Of course, it didn’t seem that he noticed her at the moment.

A wave of relief fell over Tenten as soon as she saw Shino doing his rounds about the Aburame compound. The relief she felt, however, did not last long, as she remembered what exactly it was that she was there for. After all, she had just told him that she would never leave him without letting him know ever again, and yet, she did it anyway. In her defense, she had written a note to him; ...she had just forgotten to get it to him.

Her mind went over the last time she had returned to Shino after completely vanishing for an extensive amount of time; he had been so upset then, she didn't even want to think about how upset he'd be this time. After all, she had been gone for even longer this time. At least he was still doing his duties; that was a good sign.

The kunoichi pondered her next move for a few moments, wondering just how to approach her boyfriend. After a few seconds, she snuck up behind him, reaching her arms up to place her hands over his shades. "Guess who?" She cooed, hoping against all hope that her approach would make things a bit easier for the two of them.

Akari struggled to get words out of his mouth, embarrassed by what had happened. “Oh my gosh… I’m so so sorry!” Akari began picking up his books and plate. “I’m so sorry I had no idea you were there I’m so fucking clumsy I really didn’t see you oh my gosh I hope I didn’t get any food on your clothes I-” Akari began frantically apologizing once he realized what he had done. He was kept rapidly saying he was sorry with what seemed like no breathes in between. Kiba began picking up Akari’s books for him, as Akari kept fumbling as he was trying to pick them up.

"Hey man, it’s alright. No hard feelings! Your plate was empty so I’m clean." Akari looked up at Kiba and made eye contact. Akari blushed bright red. "I’m still really sorry…" Akari said, looking away from Kiba’s face. "It’s alright! No need to apologize! I should apologize really, I was too busy talking my ass off and wasn’t paying attention haha." Akari and Kiba both stood up, Kiba handing Akari his pile of books and his plate. "You better say good bye to your girlfriend before she leaves, dude." Kiba motioned to Tenten, who was leaving the cafeteria. "Oh crap! Bye Tenten! See you tomorrow!!" Akari yelled, waving at her.  "Wait… girlfriend? No no! We just met. We’re just friends. Besides, I’m not into girls." Akari said, blushing slightly at the last comment. Kiba smiled. "Oh, right on dude. I’m not one to judge. Everyone can love who they want haha. Hey, what’s your name?" Kiba asked. "Akari," the black haired boy replied. "Yours?" Akari asked out of politeness, even though he already knew Kiba’s name.

Tenten almost burst out laughing when she heard Kiba refer to her as Akari's girlfriend. Shaking her head and rolling her eyes, she turned around one last tie to bid goodbye to her new friend. "Bye, Akari!" She chuckled to herself - she was rather curious as to how his talk with Kiba would play out. With a slight hint of a smirk on her face, the brunette left the cafeteria to return to her dormitory, ready to take a nice, long nap.

In the meantime, Kiba and Akari seemed to be getting to know each other - well, sort of, anyway. At Akari's question, Kiba raised an eyebrow, a grin plastered on his face. "You mean you haven't heard of me?" He chuckled, extending a hand out to the dark-haired male in front of him. "Just kidding, man. I'm Kiba. It's nice to meet you." He looked the other up and down. "Come to think of it, I don't think I've seen you around here much before. You new to the campus?"

He snorted at some of the names she’s been called. “ChinnaBuns? I didn’t even think of that one.” He laughed taking a seat on the counter next to the register with his legs crossed and his hands in his lap with a smile. “I’m Zaku.” He introduced himself with a nod. “It kinda is boring but whatever, I have the shop to myself I can throw my own party.” Leaning back on his hands he thought for a moment thinking how do answer her question. “I wasn’t the best kid around when I was younger and hell I still ain’t. People say it’s my smart ass mouth others say it’s my attitude. I just didn’t have the ideal childhood but what fucking ever.” He decided to keep out his thief history out of the conversation.

She narrowed her eyes ever so slightly. "Yeah, well, you know my real name now, you don't have to think of any more dumb nicknames." She took a small sip of her water, then gave him a small smile. "Zaku, huh? Nice to meet you, I suppose." She set her water back down on the counter, quirking an eyebrow once again. "Throw your own party? It's no wonder your boss doesn't like you." She stated, a teasing tone in her voice. "Especially if you use this sort of language with all your customers." She chuckled, deciding it was best not to delve into his past too much. She barely knew the guy, after all - it probably wouldn't be a good idea to ask him to tell her his entire life story.

Oops! || Shino & Tenten

It had been several weeks since Tenten had even set foot in her apartment. Between missions, visiting Lee in Suna, and a few hospital visits, she hadn't really had the time to go back to her own home. When she finally returned to her place and opened her door, her jaw dropped wide open; there were so many gifts littered all over her apartment, she didn't know what she was going to do with all of them! She kicked off her shoes and began to pick the gifts up when a look of sheer horror passed over her face.

"Oh Kami. Shino."

She was sure that she had written him a note this time telling him that she was going to be gone -- at least, she was until she looked over at her table and saw the note just sitting there. This certainly wasn't good.

Quickly sliding her shoes back on, she ran out her door, slamming it shut behind her, and raced to the Aburame compound. She didn't even want to think about how Shino must be feeling - she wasn't gone nearly as long the last time and he had been so upset then! This time, she had been gone for almost two weeks, and she hadn't said a word to him about it. She was certainly going to have a lot of explaining to do.
