Was thinking about matching tattoos earlier

I do recognize that it’s generally some level of idiocy to get a matching tattoo with someone but a deeer part of my brain is like god. The intimacy

And how intimate is that

to know a mark is etched into someone’s skin in the image representative of your devotion 

bonus points if 1) it’s on the wrist (blood flows so close to the surface there. Blood connects back to the heart, anywhere with a strong pulse is good for this bonus point claim ticket)

Or if 2) the tattoo is given by the object of devotion / vice versa / they tattoo each other

time loop story except the story starts the day after the time loop is broken. the protagonist doesn’t know what ended up breaking the loop, they had done everything the same as usual. they don’t feel like they learned anything or changed anything on the last loop, it just… ended. the rest of the story follows the protagonist adjusting to life after the time loop and obsessing over what it was about the last day that changed things. if there was no big narratively fulfilling end to it, does that mean all their suffering was just for nothing? it just ended, just like that, for no reason at all. and time moves on, like nothing happened.
