Why is Gamma Jack/Gazerbeam pairing of the Incredibles Fandom revival?

I know deleted scenes from the second movie had Gamma Jack along with Frozone and Mr. Incredible bring Gazerbeam into the superhero fold, but is there any other Gamma Jack/Gazerbeam lore I'm unaware of?

(Not placing a judgement/opinion on the ship, just curious)

I got obsessed with this concept the other day so here’s your body swap AU if no one’s done this before! I literally have so many ideas for a storyline of this it’s crazy…

Here’s some of my lil sketches!

All the art talk is going around, and it made me think Jack would probably like photography. Spends so long taking photos of himself, he notices the shading, the backgrounds, and all of the sudden it’s a passion instead of a source of anxiety in his day to day…still hates when normal reporters take photos of himself though.

I present my idea 😋

Now he can professionally tear it apart to his friends, and they won’t think he just has image issues! (They all do, they’re heros who aren’t treated like people in and out of costumes, but shhhh it’s okay)

Jack would then pull a Peter Parker and anonymously send good pictures of himself to the newspaper lol (More points for me HC that Jack would be a journalist).

Jack suffering from body dysmorphia is so canon no way.

The parenthetical part is so "oh yeah, look at THE SUPER SAD AND HORRID FACT, isn't it funny? Let's ignore it, uh-oh"

(I can perfectly imagine Buddy making a AI generating a disgusting image of a cathedral and that depressed Jack, all until his wonderful boyfriend reminded him what art is)

Although...*looks at my hands* Maybe I can squeeze one more Au...An Artist Au and everyone showing off their art skills.

Blaze & Gee would be hyping Jack up too because Simon told everyone that Jack has been feeling down as Buddy AI generated an image of a cathedral.

Not only that I'm sure Bob and Lucius would be like. "your cathedrals are WAY better than that AI SLOP"

HOLY NO WAY AHDYAYDUSUDU When you said you were already writing, damn, you surprised me, that was fast.

I love the idea that the day after Buddy's incident, everyone was especially complimentary about Jack's work. Jack, who was still struggling to accept his passion for art as valid, he had felt very demoralized by Buddy's stupid AI images, so his friends being so kind and his loving boyfriend by his side helped him a lot.

I like to imagine Bob throwing a piece of marble at Buddy while yelling "LET'S SEE IF YOUR FUCKING CLANKER CAN COPY THIS"

looking at the 2000 words i had written for chapter 14 back in february and realizing i left MYSELF ON A CLIFF HANGER. and the notes for this chapter are so confused i dont even think i DID know where i was going.

anywho whatever im going to fit the mpreg joke in somehow (my secret is when you write yourself into a hole, use a shovel instead of a ladder - this causes NO issues down the line)
