His care for the people in society, presumably the humans, would have been admirable if she were to look at him in any other way than an annoyance right now. The idea of community service, and paying fines, did not really spark her interest. She was a vampire after all, in her eyes, itâd look weak to appease the petty human culture of law. Something she had once stood by so amicably. He was cute though, she could not deny that. âWell, that depends on how corrupt of a cop you are⊠if you are one,â she teased, with her expression changing into something tied nicely together with a devilish grin. âIf you are, then I have a few ideas that could help me repay my debt to society. However, itâd mean us having to go somewhere very quiet and alone.â
The grin on her face told him all he needed to know. Tapping the end of his pen, he hummed, closing the notebook finally before sliding it into his pocket. âWhile I am a cop, I donât know how corrupt I am.â He began, looking back to her. âSomewhere quiet and alone... I think I have a few ideas about where we could go.â Clearing his throat, he grabbed the keys to his squad car from his pocket. âMy place is probably a good place to start. Lots of room, I live alone, and the walls are pretty thick.â
