Elsie inhaled as she took a look around the shop, a sly smile spreading across her face before she approached the younger vampire. âGod, I just love the smell of contempt in the afternoon. It suits you, really. Tell me, are you always this bubbly with my customers? And who the hell decided that âhow may I help you and your taste buds todayâ was okay? Clearly Iâm gonna have to hire a new sales manager.â
âBite me, Elsie.â Alina looked towards her, giving her an expression that she must have known all too familiar while working with the vampire. She didnât try to hide that working a meaningless job wouldnât be how sheâd spend her afterlife, per say. However, she did have respect for Elsie, even if she didnât always show it. âThese customers get more and more annoying every time someone enters. You can at least agree with me on that.â She shrugged, before running her tongue along her retracted sharpened teeth. âAt least they smell good.â
