Valheim + Magic
For all the Norse Pagans out there BOY OH BOY IS THIS THE GAME FOR YOU!
This game gives you a LOT of freedoms as to what you want to do. There is a main quest/storyline that you can follow but it is NOT required to enjoy the game!
The building mechanic in this game is a bit more rigid then other games like Minecraft where you can build with no limits. So you can definitely make your viking style worship house ;D
Sometimes if it’s raining or dark you can find Odin watching you from a distance (he looked a bit like the grim reaper but you could see a glowing eye from under the hood)
And apparently you can also see Thor riding through the sky if it’s particularly stormy!
Also you can keep bees in this game which was really nice for actual later game progression for those who enjoy the main storyline
This is a really nice game and I Highly recommend it!

My poor sweet fur babie crossed the rainbow bridge earlier this month. My heart continues to break from the loss and emptiness. My world is less colorful and more quiet. Less hairy and smelly. He was a sweet potato that would snuggle up with me and snooze. Just 7 days short of his 8th birthday my sweet chubba did have a rough life. I tried my hardest to feed him right and keep him healthy. I tried to make him feel comfortable, it was so sudden. One minute he was there and the next he was gone.
We have been adopted! This sweetheart we are calling Stella. And she's for sure paying rent in mice. No worries tho, my little toad familiar is safe. She hasn't messed with him. But seriously, she is fast like a ninja and hella smart.
And just like that my toad familiar is back at his post.
Fun fact, toads are signs of fertility and used by Aphrodite and the much older Egyptian goddess of fertility Heqet.
Happy Solstice everyone!
For those that practice in the Northern Hemisphere, the summer solstice is upon us. I'm choosing to celebrate early because like many of us, dare I say it older practicers, have very busy lives and Monday is not a good day for any sort of ritual or celebration. Here is what I am doing this year.
1. Making Lavender Lemonade from the Lavender sugar prepared during Ostara.
2. Some Summer Solstice yoga focusing on sun salutations and grounding.
3. Some light gardening before the afternoon rain comes or it gets too hot.
4. Grilling for dinner, since we are also celebrating Father's day this works out well.
5. Bonfire
6. Making a Honey cake dessert.
7. Going for a walk in nature.
As always my celebrations are low key. I would have planned something like this even if it was not a "special day on the calendar". My practice is my own, and if I want a no spend celebration well damn it I'm having a no spend celebration! Everything I need is part of my basic groceries.
May the sun cleanse you and provide you a bountiful harvest to come. May its light give you and yours strength. Happy Litha.
Did some spring garden cleaning this year and must have disturbed some fae... my favorite litha recipe card is gone. Shit.
Happy Samhain and Blessed moon rituals!

Happy Mabon Witches!
We made it, the fall equinox. The first day of fall! If you're like me and completely lost all sense of time and realized today was a witches wheel holiday (oops), you still want to celebrate. But this celebration will be hella low-key and... well... basic. Yes i said it. Basic.
What is Mabon?
Mabon is the second harvest festival and when harvest especially, where I live within the world, really ramps up. Mabon is also considered the Witches Thanksgiving. Cause whats better than giving thanks for the harvest during, ya know actual harvest. Different cultures celebrate in their own way. The germans have Oktober fest, the ancient Greeks celebrated by harevsting grapes for wine. Even currently the Chinese celebrate with Mid-Autum festival to give thanks for their families.
Last minute celebration ideas
So now we know a little of why we are celebrating, let's find out how to celebrate the procrastination way.
Decorate for fall, in fall colors like oranges, reds, browns, golds, and yellows.
Go pick some sunflowers or marigolds.
Find an acorn outside (it might be too early for this depending on where you are).
Make some tea! You can stick with teas that have a correspondence with Mabon like sage, myrh, or rosehip. I personally am going more calming with camomile today.
Burn some sage, because, sage.
Clean up, or declutter.
Light a candle.
As you can tell, we are going basic this year. Basic for me because I am a procrastinator. Basic for others because not everyone has the option to go all out this year. It might be a loss of income, or feeling trapped in their situation because of quarantine.
Whatever your situation, have a Happy Mabon and Blessed Be.
I’m also going to have a small-ish update tomorrow with a handful of new herbarium pendants and a handful of new electroplated pieces!
Do you ever get that 1 thing in the store just calling your name? This tea cup didn't really do that, but it has been on my mind for the past 3 months. Thats right. Since I was allowed to go back to work in June to this September, I have gone to this particular antique mall a handful of times just to walk around.. I went in today specifically looking for a 1920's doctors cabinet (I was unsuccessful btw) and told myself that if this cup was still there I was getting it. Well, it came home with me and for the first time in a long time, this guy is being used. Not sure if its creators thought pumpkin spiced coffee would be a thing, or that their wares would be used by a witch but hey, weirder things have happened this year.
