Last night Kali said I should keep a log of what happens while I am at trade shows.

This was inspired by the following:

Eating pork buns from Korea Town and watching Fringe with an espresso from the hotel lobby. Also drank something called Pocari Sweat, which may have given me superpowers. Sleep is calling despite the noise. I have to keep the window open because the building’s cooling system hasn’t been switched on yet and the room is 82.5 degrees. I consider that my breaking point. There a club, construction, and a busy street. It’s like Florence without the charm.

Tonight:

Was able to print a presentation in the showroom, proving that Pocari Sweat definitely gave me superpowers. Left the show room with vague hope of pork buns. Plans derailed for more Americanized fare with surprise dessert and more espresso. Learned that frosty fern named Oliver that was given for Secret Santa was killed in an unfortunate vacation abandonment situation months ago. Drag racing and sounds of drunken college kids out the window.

In Irish mythology, the Púca is a mischievous, shapeshifting faerie who would assume a disguise in many forms, including a horse, rabbit, goat, goblin, dog, calf, or donkey. Most commonly, the Púca is disguised as a sleek, black horse, with burning yellow eyes and an untamed, wild mane. It is among the most frightening Faeries is some parts of Ireland, and is said to scatter livestock, break fences, and cause damage to property as well as harm humans. Although It seems to have a bad reputation, If they acquire a liking to a certain human, they will often offer advice and be a generally kind faerie. The origins of the Púca is unknown, but there is some speculation that the name could have origins in Scandinavia, the name being related to “pook” or “puke” meaning “nature spirit”.
