i know no one's really on the tumbz anymore but i like to check it like 2x a year. i deleted all social media a while back and finally deleted reddit and goddamn does it feel good. i p much just keep this & a substack account; i've been toying w the idea of writing again, maybe getting some shit together for an online graphic novel. idk. i hate the expectation of content creation that comes w an online presence.

my daughters have been the teachers i needed to rediscover the joy of just creating to create. i feel like the trauma of everything that happened in my city earlier this year (and is still v much persisting) has seeped into my bones and has become an accelerant for an anxiety i cannot shake.

i'm not trying to enter that headspace before i go to bed so i'll just say despite this ever-present existential exhaustion, i've made real magic in spite of it all. i've never felt more connected to the ones i love, my neighbors, my community, or myself. it's a knowing i'll protect until i die. ❤️‍🔥
