It’s with an even heavier heart that we share the developments from this morning with the followers of the Woodman Inn. Unfortunately, the ‘new’ tenant is no longer taking over the pub and the exchange has been cancelled. Jane & I are however still departing and as of tonight the Woodman will close its doors temporarily until a new replacement can be found. The pub co, Admiral Taverns is absolutely gutted for us to have to give this news, and they have done everything they can to avoid this circumstance - they have been a top class organisation to work with. Unfortunately Jane & I’s business cannot carry on, we cannot sustain financially, emotionally or physically a further open ended agreement to cover the pub until then. Our marriage, family and health needs to come first and for us to finish as planned for the 31st. We are so, so upset that the pub will close after four years of building it up to a reasonable level to have to shut the door and we can only hope that a passionate, experienced licensee will come forward to take the reigns and re-open the doors.
