This post is because my theme on mobile doesn’t let you see these links, so, here we go.

A quick summary - 30-something, female, bi and in a relationship, Brit, MyChem fan, RPF + FOC writer, and I occassionally read RPF too - but most of the time I’m too busy writing it.

I’m a 30-something female so very much not a child. She/Her is fine and I’m from the UK - I’m not ignoring your message, my timeline is probably backwards to yours! I am very much a mama bear and pretty protective of people in general, as well as those I care about. I’m actually Mama Bear to several users and/or anons now and I adore that. Always willing to be a listening ear, will give the best advice I can if it’s wanted and I like to think that I’m a pretty... Safe? human being. I’m not gonna judge you (unless it’s illegal, but I’ve never run into anyone who likes that kinda shit) and chances are I’ll just want to protect you.

MAY 2025 I apologise to my guest users but because of the recent mass scrapings I have locked my fics to users only for now - 51 of my works were in the search tool someone developed. Apparently not even locked or hidden fics were completely safe, but I'm going to try to protect the 10 or so that are left. It's possible that I might even go back to posting on only Tumblr for a bit if I ever finished anything again. 

Feel free to ask questions. I don’t really bite.

19th July - 501 words. Worked On: WIP4 Favourite Line: this will do

"Darling. He's only got eyes for you." Shelly let out a soft snort. "What? No. No, he's really not."

Got to go and have lunch with my dad and stepmother today, then The Mr and I had a little walk around town, which was nice. It's been cooler recently, which is also nice. I can't cope with constantly high temperatures - I need a break in between the onslaughts!

18th July - 524 words. Worked On: WIP4 Favourite Line: -taps chin-

"Oh please. Don't give me that, I know you have a sweet tooth. Just take one," Shelly rolled her eyes playfully and slowly waved the plate under his nose.

Today was peaceful for the most part, which was nice. It's a bit cooler at the moment too, which is also nice.

a feel like the new generation of fanfic readers NEED to understand that clicking on a fic (interaction) does nothing. ao3 has no algorithm. your private discord discussions of fic do not reach the authors. if you do not actively engage with writers they will stop posting. this isn’t social media this is community.

Shelly giggled softly and leant against him. "Oh, I see protective mode is very much on right now."

There is not a lot going on at the moment, honestly. Everything is very quiet. A bit warm, but quiet.

She tutted playfully. "Oh dear. It looks like someone's forgetting his place again."

I think I'm doing okay, surprisingly. A little physically achy, but I'm not exactly a spring chicken and the warmer weather doesn't help. I'll be okay. I soldier on.

just wanted to say how inspirational you are. I took a very long break from writing and posting in general for mental health issues and i always saw you posting your work that you had done that day. You always get me back into my headspace that i can do things, you’re so amazing. I’m proud of you for working so hard all the time ❤️ love you dear

Shelly didn't need to hear any more. She turned on her heel and swiftly walked back down the hallway, the only noise being that of the silk of her dress whispering against the floor.

... How am I supposed to exist at work like a regular person after last Friday?

the events leading up to our mikey & g situation were kind of funny bc brian schechter couldn’t find my email so he messaged my store page but i didn’t see because @discolizardwizard and i were traveling so he had mcrmyofficial dm me to confirm that we were in london and then get my contact info so he could message me fr saying to call him. and then was like so gerard wants to meet you guys Today

talking to them was so surreal also aside from obvious reasons because we have had all these near encounters with them over the years that we assumed they never think about but as soon as the two of them finished their dj set and walked into the back hallway where we were waiting gerard was like 🫵 you guys were at nc comic con in 2018 wearing suits and skull masks. and mikey was like 🫵 i follow you but the algorithm never shows me your posts

a couple other funny things and then i will shut up for now 1. gerard saying our (my?) work pulls from a bunch of artists from the 80s that nobody references anymore and then rattling off like five names i have never heard of before in my life 2. mikey saying riot fest was the best costume (came up bc i had to describe the alpharetta fit to gerard for them to remember. they have seen some of the comics though) 3. gerard right away asking us what the process is for deathwish and us not being able to get a word in to answer which kills me because in 2018 at nccc we learned thru a game of telephone after giving them the first issue that they were curious about “the background” so ig they have been wondering this stuff for 8 years and still don’t know

Hmmm, still tired. I think I slept okay - definitely better than Friday night, but I'm just worn out.

Shelly rolled her eyes and sighed softly. "Are you done with the third degree now?"

Tired. I hate the Underground. It's too cramped, too hot and too under street level. Makes me a little anxious. But, I am home from London and I get to enjoy my home comforts again.

I am tired. My feet hurt 😅 but I had such a good time today.
