5 Things I'm Bad At
Let's face it. We all have things we're good at... AND we all have things we're NOT to great at. Now, we can either beat ourselves up about what we're not good at OR we can just 'fess up about it an move on. I'll go first.
5 Things I Don't Necessarily Want on My Resume
I'm not a good liar. Okay. So this can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it. On the positive side, I can't lie so I don't even try. Not that I want to make a habit of lying, but either way you know I'm being honest with you. On the negative side, if you ask me if that outfit makes you look fat... well... I'll be honest about that, too. So don't ask if you don't want to know.
I'm not good at comforting people. It's not that I don't care about your problems. I do. Seriously. I'm just not a very good shoulder to cry on because I probably won't cry with you and I probably won't give you hugs and such. I might just pull a Sheldon Cooper on you: *Pats on shoulder* "There, there..." Now, if there's anything you need during your time of sorrow, I WILL BE HAPPY to oblige. Just need someone to listen? You got it. Need ice cream? You got it. Need someone do drive you to your house to get something after a funeral? You got it... Just let me know.
I'm not a good driver. I won't say I'm "bad" at driving, but if we're going somewhere, I would rather you be the one get us there. Take my car! Burn my gas! Just don't ask me to drive unless you want us to take all right turns until we reach our destination and then park as far away from any cars or buildings as possible. I'm cautious. That's all. Cautious.
I'm not good at doing makeup. I hate makeup, and mine never looks right. Even when I take time and try hard. It's just not my thing.
I'm not good at doing hair. I guess I could have lumped this in with the last one, but I feel like explaining that this one isn't totally my fault... See.. I have this dark brown (with a few greys staring to pop up here and there... I'm only 22. So. NOT. fair!) not-quite-wavy-not-quite-curly fine, but thick mop on my head and IT IS A BEAST. It takes forever to dry and it's nearly impossible to straighten. I can curl it, but I'm not good at that. Even then, if 3 pounds of hairspray aren't promptly applied, you can just forget it. So... Most of the time, my hair's either in a messy bun or just left to it's own devices (lest I anger the beast).
There you have it. Five things I'm not good at. Glad to get it off my chest. :)
