Maxims, aphorisms and blood
Thought i heard a meaning
Thought I found the rhyme
Knew it was a whistle
A wind moaning thru the trees
i bet you thought i'd write poetry about you leaving. this is it.
who else burns the oil far past midnight with me? ha, we're a weird sort, aren't we? we go when we go. we stop when we stop. is there anything so strange as this, that there are souls catching meaning from gleaming diodes light blue fake photons smacking eye rods and i see you and you see me. hello friends, we're here such a short time will we know each other when the blue lights fade?
We're all living this similar narrative called:
GET FREE
That's ALL! SORRY! I know this was a lot...I just forgot how much I'd written on my rulesofearth blog...which if you don't follow...
and how with truth, it is like children who resemble their parents and not simply a stranger who reminds us of someone we can't remember and maybe never knew. thus with beauty we see and encounter, it is generative, heritable and progeny; an actual traceable resemblance to what is and has always been and always will be, true.
Beauty is nonsense without reference from truth. And what is beauty but a surreal-hyper-mirror for truth.
I dreamt of waves crashing last night
I turned to exclaim my excitement and awe
I was a young mannish-boy not quite a man
I am not always my age in dreams
I felt fear and beauty
I could not stop watching the perfectly terrible crashing waves
I sensed dread at how we sit merely at the edge of an ocean power so vast, so deep
I saw crashing waves but knew I did not understand anything in this world really
I understood only the excitement of helplessness that something so viscerally magnificent could vanish something so insignificant as me
I could not stop watching the perfect crashing waves
i know my way home
the truth is that what distinguishes us one from another is not in our perfections but in the nature of our flaws you never notice the more perfect people you cannot see them they are like god who keeps perfectly unseen
You knew it was for you.
I knew you knew, I knew.
It felt clumsy, yet in truth precise, even if in disguise, wearing awkward clothes.
it's really funny talking to self-proclaimed open minded people who are simultaneously convinced that whatever their deep intrinsic inclination is on any hot-button-topic also happens to be an absolute truth that everyone ought to agree upon and if anyone differs they are immediately judged as inhumane, stupid, cruel, selfish, loveless, racists, homophobic, hedonistic, bleeding-heart, godless, zealots, bigots, communist, patriots, nationalists, amoral, socialists, sectarian, anarchist, conservative, rigid, radicals etc. etc. etc.
It's just funny. That's all.
Your voice like the southwest sun going down

no sense in trying to entrap and cage a peculiar spirit of the age.
we live in interpenetrating, overlapping and intertwining ages.
the spirit is many and the spirit is one.
of flesh and the assumptions therein...
"Porn" is a functional term/category.
Its definition is always doing social (generally/specifically) , political, legal, and/or moral work for whoever is deploying the word.
The more precisely you try to define it, the more edge cases expose the arbitrariness of any boundary you draw.
After I said that, I thought about it a lot.
And I hoped you thought about it too.
And I thought a lot about you thinking about it.
