Aradas House by RVDM Architects

Founded in 1997 by Ricardo Vieira de Melo, Portuguese design firm RVDM Architects presents the Aradas House. Located in the seaside city of Aveiro in Portugal’s Centro Region, the spacious and decidedly modern two-story home is comprised of a series of similarly divided rectangular structures and marked by a combination of white walls, hardwood floors and oversized windows throughout. A full set of photography showing off the beautiful Aradas House can be seen via CONTEMPORIST.

BEAMS 2012 Summer “TAKE YOU TO SUMMER” T-Shirt Collection Video

To debut a few of its Summer 2012 T-shirts, BEAMS introduces a creative and offbeat stop motion film titled, “TAKE YOU TO SUMMER.” Using unfinished wood as the setting, each T-shirt is seen seemingly sprawling along the floors, walls and crevices of the daytime backdrop. Amidst the plethora of tees, piece from HUMAN MADE, ALOYE and other BEAMS T items are also featured.

As a photographer and makeup artist selfportrait became obvious to me, as an endless identity poursuit, in which I dedicate a consuming passion. Fine art was my first passion and with " Mezig " (which means "I") I mainly tried to rediscover the pleasure I had to work with paint. METROPOLIS

Metropolis comes from the industrial years of the 1950's where skyscrapers where born. Greatly inspired by the double line work of Twin by Mark El-Khatib, I used the double line method on HTF Champion Featherweight as a template to create a new typeface. The result is a bold, pompous typeface with a stolidly calm disposition.
