How polite, she didn't even say 'hello' or 'goodmorning' first and here he was making an effort to be formal.

It was just a usual night really for the witch and the dolphin. They found a decent place that seemed alright to sleep in wherever they could and slept fairly comfortably for the most part. It was a usual thing by now, and there were rarely any disturbances while they slept. But this hadn’t been any usual camping spot this time. The two found themselves in a quaint town that was pretty empty, and they asked for a place to stay for the night— And of course they got one.

Once it had come the time when the moon arose and it was around time for them to go to bed. They did stay up a bit late, however, to go outside and watch the stars until both of them became sleepy. Mofuki and Akihiro decided to go inside then of course, before getting settled into separate, comfortable beds. And it wasn’t long until the both of them drifted into a deep sleep.

Though, after quite some time passed and it was quite abruptly in the middle of the night then, Mofuki felt something weigh down on her bed as if there were two people in the bed and was awoken from her slumber as she opened her eyes to see Akihiro there with her now. How strange—

"Hmn…—? Akihiro…? What are you doing?"

After the witch had gotten ready for the morning, she decided that maybe she would check up on her familiar? Yes, he was sleeping earlier, wasn’t he? Maybe he was awake now— With a slight yawn, the girl stepped out of the bathroom— And to her surprise, the two had just ran into each other.

"Ah—!" She gasped in surprise. At least the impact wasn’t that bad, but nonetheless it was surprising. The witch took a glance at her familiar, then huffed. It did look like he had just woken up, anyway. "Akihiro— Good morning. Did you just get up?" The girl inquired. He better not had been faking it— For that would have made her a bit angry. And she hadn’t indeed forgotten the night before.

He nodded drowsily and rubber his eye.

"mm-yeah, like ten minutes ago-"

To be dead honest it took the dolphin a good fifteen minutes to even be able to get up, and that was on a good day. He looked her over before smiling halfheartedly and attempting to shuffle past her to the kitchen. He planned to play it off as if nothing happened last night. Mofuki was very sharp and probably still intended to talk to him about it. But he'd put it off for as long as physically possible.

33: Bruise||

Ah— It seems like her dolphin familiar finally came back after going off on this own for a while— And it seemed like his knees and face were bruised, too. The blue-haired girl asked concernedly how he came to get them, but the other only came with the excuse of tripping over a big rock while he was trying to search for something. An evident frown was on Mofuki’s face now, as she didn’t seem to push him on that subject, but her only response was something of the like asking if he was okay.

Of course, the dolphin didn’t notice— He only really looked down at the ground in slight shame— He didn’t really want her worrying about him enough that she has already. Yet, she took a step towards him, and another, until she was about a few inches away from him. The witch took the time to bring a hand up to lift up the other’s chin to look at his face. It was a bit bloody, too— Yet, the witch leaned in to plant a kiss to his bruised cheek without a word.

Next, were his knees. Letting go of her familiar’s chin and getting down on her knees, she reached out a hand to lift up the fabric of his rolled up pants and leaned her face in to press her lips to each knee in a gentle kiss. Kisses make wounds heal faster, right? This action and the cheek kiss caused the familiar to fluster up, his cheeks turning a bright crimson as he dared not to look his master in the face or make eye contact with her for he was too embarrassed. This caused the witch to let out a few giggles, before she decided to speak up,

"Mm? Kisses are supposed to heal injuries faster, right?"
