After sending that exact message with a smiley face at the end, Nyx put the phone down and looked out the window. “Uh.. Take a right at this stoplight.”
“Well shit, I got a long day ahead of me then.”
“Could you take my phone there, text Juliet and tell her I’ll be home late? Should be my most recent text message.”
“Sorry...” After his request, Nyx nodded and picked the phone up. “Should I just act like you? Or? Like should I say ‘I’ll be home late’ or should I say ‘hey this is a random person who has Foley’s phone and he’s not gonna be home for a while’?”
“I figured you were, my sister-in-law is about your age. Y’all don’t look nothing alike but I guess you look about the same age.”
“How long this trip of ours gonna take?”
“We’ll probably get there less than two hours...”
“That short for something?”
“I’m Foley. Don’t got friends in the City? I don’t really, not many. Don’t know who I’d call if I needed a ride. How old are you anyway?”
