Jiara is definitely endgame I know that for a fact but can the writers at least see the drama potential of Riara? Rafe and Kie had 2 episodes of being partners in crime, and TikTok, Instagram, Youtube and freaking ao3 got to WORK, in making edits and fanfictions of them. And even before that, most fans were already begging the writers to show Kiara's kook year just from crumbs of her small interactions with Rafe. I think a JJ-Kiara-Rafe love triangle has a chance of gaining more popularity than the John B-Sarah-Topper one because let's be honest I think most people are just generally tired of Topper's obsession with Sarah. I'm not even asking them to end up together, just for them to make do with what they already have for season 4 because the chemistry was too good to waste.
@rafes-starkey I'm so sorry this may be long lol but to answer ur reply
It can actually just be Rafe and JJ liking Kie, and Kie of course reciprocating JJ's feelings. Like it's established that Sarah loves John B and not Topper but the writers still decided to push their triangle for three seasons. As for the murder attempts I mean can you actually call it enemies to lovers without one of them trying to kill the other.
Kidding
but yea on the rational side Rafe does need serious help and he actually admits to Ward at one point that he's not okay and that he's having uncontrollable thoughts which scares him because he doesn't know what it might cause. Rafe has tried to kill Ward and Sarah, and even almost hurt Wheezie at some point and these people are his family—people he care about. Drew is able to show just how unhinged Rafe is in multiple instances. He acts on impulse and most of the time isn't actually aware of his actions until after it happens or when he faces the consequences. He was crying while drowning Sarah and tells her "look what you made me do" like he was forced and not acting on his own. Then later, he cries to Kiara saying he regrets it. He grips Wheezie's wrist like he's going to snap again until she got upset and then he tells her he's gonna get his shit together. He also has like certain trigger points like Kie slapping him wasn't why he choked her, only when she mentioned Peterkin did his mood shift and he was suddenly murderous. Point is Rafe being unstable is I think one of the main root of his bad actions, to the point that he hurts even the ones he love. This may be a bit of a stretch but Rafe choking Kie reminds me so much of a scene in Marvel when Nat was trying to make Bucky remember her when he was trying to kill her. I think it's somehow similar to Kie saying "Rafe" when he was strangling her which has somewhat a tone of familiarity?? like she's saying "please it's me, you know me" Sarah did the same saying "it's me it's your sister" when he was about to drown her like he was completely out of his own senses and is blindly driven by thoughts and impulses alone and not as himself. JJ is the better partner for Kiara but Rafe obviously has a soft spot for her. He uses Kiara's name to piss JJ off but always make sure to pull her off the actual fight and make sure she's not involved when things get heated. Rafe was also determined to get Kiara somewhere safe out of Barbados but couldn't care less about the danger that the other pogues are in. He makes an exception for her, which is weird since Kie is an og pogue.
