Julian - how far would your MC go to protect the ones they love? 

Till death.Seriously, they made a bargain for the life of their newborn sibling when they were a teen. They had a bond with the Chariot (about determination and goals) for a reason. They literally will die for their loved ones, not being hyperbolic or anything. If that’s what it takes, they’ll do it (though they’d prefer not to die, but if they must, they must).Portia - what’s your MC like at their very best? 

Kind and driven and compassionate. They’re quick to devote themselves to their loved ones and help them relax, doing their best to bring a smile to their faces. They’re also unafraid to be blunt, so long as that’s what’s needed. They’re very emotionally receptive.Mazelinka - what were your MC’s parents like?

Well, their mama and papa were absolutely kind and generous and full of love and energy. They had to be to have 13 kids in total. However, their parents weren’t limited to just their biological ones. Their aunts and uncles were all like parents as their family was huge and knitted close and interdependent. Their mada was the person who had the most impact, however, being the one to mentor them on magic (as well as lending them that driven attitude).

Actually, their patron Arcana before dying was the Chariot and they even made a bargain with them!

16. Name one thing your apprentice wants to see happen, or say to someone.

They want to remember their family! They’re sure they have one, but they’d like to remember if there’s still one out there for them and hopefully find them if they can!

  25. Are they still scared of the Lazaret? 

Not the Lazaret itself, but more of what it means to everyone around them when they go there. Minke isn’t particularly worried or bothered by death, especially knowing they’d been through it before, but they’re definitely not insensitive to the fact that there have been a great many sacrifices made by the people around them in order to bring them back and that knowledge does well to make them nervous of returning.

28. Describe what their magical realm gateway would be like?

This is actually easy! They’ve actually started building one!It’s an endless field of wildflowers, nested between a mountain range and the ocean, with a yellow sky perpetually at sunset. The breeze is cool and salty while also being fresh and crisp. It’s indescribable and pleasant. The wind is always blowing and rippling the field. You can leave and enter by sinking through the grass.

Probably cats since you have to earn their companionship most of the time and it feels gratifying to work hard to become close to an animal.Inanna - what would your MC do if they encountered an injured animal?Try to get close, but not without testing the waters carefully and watching the animal’s body language. They’d keep their body vulnerable, but always ready to shift, to communicate that they’re not going to hurt the animal, but also that they’re not going to be prey. They’re not afraid of being bitten or scratched, so that won’t deter them even as they get close. They’ll do everything they can to help the animal without disturbing them too much.Vulgora - what is your MC’s temper like?Full of tears. It’s a lot of clenched fists and jaws, and tears, and red faces. If there’s something external that makes them angry, they’ll shout, usually until their voice is sore or they have the last word. If it’s internal, they’ll cry more, white knuckling whatever they can get their fingers around and try to self-soothe or just process through it. Having someone comfort them only helps 50% of the time. Sometimes they need space and sometimes they need support. It’s usually communicated through little gestures. 2. How does your apprentice feel when they are called a witch? (Offended? Shrugs it off? Likes it?) 

Minke definitely doesn’t prefer it, since it’s a gendered term, but they don’t mind it! Their whole family is magical, so it’s not like they were brought up with a negative connotation around the word.

6. What did they do while at the clinic? 

They took turns with Julian watching the clinic or making rounds. While they weren’t a plague doctor, or a doctor by far, growing up as the eldest sibling of thirteen, in a huge non-nuclear family, they gained a few medical skills, practical and magical. (They also did their best to keep their distance from Julian, afraid that any emotional hang ups would interfere with their work. After all, they were sacrificing a lot to stay in Vesuvia.)

12. Did they have a certain opinion about the palace and court before the events of the game? Did it change? 

Generally, Minke thought that the palace and the court were pompous and self-serving, especially since the Count used to prance around and show off his arrogant ass and stick his nose where it didn’t belong. Their opinion changed when Asra left and they took his place at the palace. They began to form a bond with Nadia, offering her comfort and a drinking partner when the stress was too much.That relationship didn’t last very long, however. They came down with the plague after a month.

After being resurrected, they don’t have such a strong opinion of the palace and the court, but it doesn’t take them long to form one again. With no memories of life three years prior and so much time spent inside and with Asra, they didn’t have the chance to form an opinion until reuniting with Nadia. Needless to say, they think the court is a sham.

21. What is their first reaction seeing their LI cry?

They freeze, trying to figure out the next course of action, which almost always includes touch. If appropriate, they hold them tight and offer all of themself, but if not, they offer their hand either to hold or to rest on their shoulder. They listen and wait until the moment is right to tell them that they aren’t alone and that they’ll always be there for each other.

It couldn’t have come as much as much of a surprise. Minke and Asra both had them. Hell, Asra was a tattoo artist himself.

“Something white, something for Arabella.” Errol stared into her teacup as she spoke, turning it from side to side on the kitchen island. “I feel like maybe if I can do this for her, I can forgive myself.” She glanced up, catching Minke’s eyes across the counter. “Will you come with me? I might need someone to hold my hand.”

If Asra had been closer, Errol would have kissed him. As it stood, she winked at him and accepted the bottle.

Spreading a bit of lube over her fingers, Errol sat back between Julian’s legs on the sofa. While her left hand spread his cheeks, the right slid two fingers into him.

Julian’s little gasp was delicious, and when he muffled his voice in the sofa cushion, Errol’s clean hand grabbed at his hair, pulling hard. “None of that,” she said, her voice taking on that razor edge she knew he adored. “I wanna hear your voice.”
