A blog dedicated to spreading the word on what Japanese lolita fashion is, it features pictures taken from the lolita fashion tag and affiliated tags that are not lolita. We are not saying these things are bad nor are we "hating" on anyone, these things are simply not lolita fashion, and are prime examples of what lolita fashion can easily be confused with. This blog is educational as other tactics, such as trying to educate people on the fashion privately and politely through inbox does not seem to work, and is usually met with a lot more hostility.

I have a lolita fashion question. You state that in lolita you should wear a lot of hair accessories, which I mean, you are not wrong it is sort of a general lolita thing but if I am personally not a fan of doing that would it still be lolita?

Anon just because somebody is posted here doesn’t mean they’re not beautiful. I’ve blogged some really gorgeous outfits from other J-fashions and western styles that are miss-tagged or tagged incorrectly as lolita. That does not detract from the person featured in any way but to show that it is an example of something that may be close to but does not fall under the guidelines of lolita. As for the colorful language please take it elsewhere.

Why don't you ever tell anyone how to fix their lolita styles?

People are welcome to ask us what they can change if they wish, and we have an entire FAQ and recourses page for people to check if they want to improve or learn about the fashion. We usually don't put it on the posts we reblog because it ends up making people more unwilling to listen or accept help. This way if people want help they can ask and won't be receiving concrit without asking. ~ Admin Vivian
