Annie froze, her arms flying up in surprise as she felt Jake’s body collide with hers. The corners of her lips turned up in a small smile and she relaxed, one of her arms falling back to her sides and the other resting lightly on his back, leaning in to rest her head against his chest. “Well, hello,” she greeted quietly.

"Thanks." The blonde took a bite of the meat, closing her eyes appreciatively. "I haven’t had any of this in awhile," she remarked, shrugging before continuing to eat. She ate as neatly as she could, taking small bites and occasionally looking at him.

He looked over at Annie. “So. I hope you’re enjoying it.” He said to her. “What would you like to do after this?” He asked her. He looked around the area, getting a good idea of what it looked like before looking back at Annie.

She nodded in response to his statement, carefully tearing off a small piece of bread and chewing it quickly. "We could always go back to those woods, if you wanted. I'd like to see what they look like in the day."

"Sure." She disentangled herself and slid to the ground, quickly brushing herself off before starting off without waiting for him. Of course he’d follow her. "What are you in the mood for?"

Jake followed her in. “I’m just gonna get some bread. I’ll buy a bit of meat for me but you can have as much as you want.” He told her. “I’m willing to pay as much as I need for you.”

Annie shook her head, crossing her arms. “I don’t need you to pay much for me. I’ll have some bread too, and I’m taking some of your meat,” she replied. She didn’t feel comfortable enough around many people to take their food, much less put her intentions on the table before taking action.

Jake nodded. “Okay then.” He said. He sat her down at a table. “I’ll go get the food then.” He told her. He went to the front, telling them what they were getting. The people nodded, handing him the plates. He took them, paid, and walked back, giving her the food. “There you go.” He said, ripping the meat in half and giving her some.
