Sisters, the print you'll get from me if you complete the stamp rally this weekend.

not a serious post but: i kind of can’t hold it in my mind very long that a lot of the people who are “getting money for somehow expressing their opinions on things” (youtubers, people with paid substacks, this genre of person; not suggesting a sort of large cultural significance necessarily, or livable amounts of money) are kind of bad at both thinking & expressing their thoughts. this is not envy at least in a serious sense — i would not wish to be paid for my thoughts because i quite enjoy expressing them obliquely actually — just an observation. i learn this every couple of months or so & am surprised every time.
remember, the second-best time to get something done is TODAY. the best time is tomorrow. it's more convenient.

suddenly acquired a small hole in my ear that bled quite a lot for reasons that are completely mysterious to me. like i was sitting there & suddenly my ear was all covered in blood. o_O
no more media analysis until we agree that all art is a sublimation of the desire to ritually sacrifice the king. yeah all of it. yeah even cars 2 and stuff

when you want to complain about society, or anything really, make sure to add a "modern" or "now" or "has become". it's really important to maintain the myth that whatever old shit was better in the past

worldbuilding concept: culture that actually kinda believes all fiction is unethical because it's all lies, and like geometric islamic decoration responds by developing like, really elaborate and dramatic ways to present biographies and histories and documentaries and such

one may note that many people on here that say that they are radically pro bodily autonomy & think people should be allowed to do whatever they want with their bodies hold beliefs that contradict this, e.g. wrt plastic surgery or weight loss. this observation is not very interesting. it does make me wonder, however, what the most radically pro bodily autonomy position a person could possibly hold would be. the main two limits (for more radically pro bodily autonomy positions i mean) that come to my mind would be “assisted death” (“a person should be able to walk into a hospital, request to be killed, & be killed immediately no questions asked” seems like an implausible position to hold; what the closest position to this one that anyone actually holds is, i don’t know) & “at what age should a person be able to make 100% of their medical decisions?” (i certainly can imagine a person who says the age should be lower than 18, but not really one who’d say it should be 2. some people will say that you should have complete bodily autonomy from birth but i doubt they mean that a 2-year-old should be able to refuse life-saving surgery or whatever)
i do kind of genuinely forget that some people cannot just read a text or just watch a movie in english the way they would in their native language. it’s kind of like how in school we were solving quadratic equations all the time so it felt to me like i had been born able to solve quadratic equations, it did not feel like a skill at all. i can recall a time before i understood english easily & i remember the circumstances leading to me being able to do so. & yet
You have to be somewhere at 9:00am. It will take you approximately 30 minutes to get there, so you will need to leave by 8:30 to get there on time. About what time will you plan to wake up?
