What is kafiromisia?
Kafiromisia is a term that refers to the oppression of Ex-Muslims.
The term comes from the slur "kaafir," which is used against Ex-Muslims. The word means "disbeliever, infidel, apostate" etc.
Types of kafiromisia
Qur'anic kafiromisia: certain verses ("ayat") being kafiromisic by nature and it's weaponization. Some ayat include: Yunus 94-95, Al-Mulk 20, Bani Israil 97, Al-Anam 111, Al-Bayyina 6.
Hadithic kafiromisia: certain ahadith (sayings of the Prophet) being kafiromisic by nature and it's weaponization. Some ahadith include: Sahih Bukhari 3017, 6930, 7157.
Fatwa-related kafiromisia: certain fatawa (rulings on a point of Islamic law given by a qualified Islamic jurist in response to a question) being kafiromisic by nature and it's weaponization. Some fatawa include: Islam Q&A Fatwa no. 12406, 811, 14231, 696.
Subcategories of kafiromisia
Kafiroracism: the intersection of kafiromisia and racism. This can have subcategories like kafironoirism (anti-Blackness and kafiromisia), kafirosemitism (antisemitism and kafiromisia); or just be a word of its own.
Kafirosexism: the intersection of kafiromisia and sexism.
Kafiromisogyny: the intersection of kafiromisia and misogyny.
Kafiroableism: the intersection of kafiromisia and ableism. This can have subcategories like kafiroautimisia (anti-autistic ableism and kafiromisia), kafirosanism (sanism and kafiromisia); or just be a word of its own.
Kafirosizeism: the intersection of kafiromisia and sizeism.
Muslimonormativity: the idea that everyone should be Muslims.
Consequences of kafiromisia
In a state level, Ex-Muslims face death penalty and imprisonment. If an Ex-Muslim is a parent, they lose custody of their children. If an Ex-Muslim is married, they're separated from their partner(s). Ex-Muslim men cannot marry Muslim women. Ex-Muslim women may face forced sterilization. And vise versa.
In a public level; Ex-Muslims face social boycotts, isolation, domestic violence, sexual assault, bullying, verbal harassment, torture, honor killings, vice versa.
