to this mans core, lorenzo "enzo" berkshire is a rich boy
enzo comes from generational wealth
which is obvious by how he carries himself (neatly pressed collared shirt, blazer, cufflinks with the family crest)
he also has the killer rich boy smile; you know the one
it’s bright and dazzling and ear to ear
his parents have never openly stated that they’re supporters of You Know Who
but his lineage has produced Slytherins for more generations that he can count
so the association has always been assumed
unlike everyone else in his friend group, Enzo was incredibly loved by both of his parents
Enzo grew up an only child, the golden only child really
his mother doted on him, his father praised him; truly the opposite of all his friends
if anyone questioned the alliances he had with those like Mattheo and Theo (even Draco), he would simply explain that he’d “known them all his life”
which is true as Mrs. Berkshire would often have tea with both Mrs. Nott and Narcissa Malfoy (the latter being who’d Mattheo would frequently stay with)
Enzo has an affinity for plants; something that started at quite a young age for him
some of his first signs of magic were assisting flowers in his mothers garden to bloom
some of his parents friends whispered worries of him possibly being sorted into Hufflepuff once the time came
however just before his letter arrived, Enzo and Theo created a lingering stink potion that they’d affixed to Draco that took three weeks to fade
no one doubted after that
when it comes to the rest of the Slytherin boys Enzo views them as his brothers
they had been there for all of his conscious memories so as far as he was concerned, that’s what they were
while in general Enzo is a sweet puppy in appearance and overall demeanor
he can display exactly why he deserves every bit of fear the other boys hold over their classmates
Enzo is tall, broad shouldered, a keeper for the Slytherin quidditch team
beyond just being muscular toned and strong, he did academically excel in herbology
while the quick wit was more Theo’s department, if Enzo felt like you needed some reminders of who not to mess with
you might very much find devils snare slithering from you school bag and gripping your ankle
or a mimbulus mimbletonia replacing your morning sausage, only for you to notice after you’ve stuck it with a fork and the thick, stinking, green fluid leaking over your breakfast
but if you’re on Enzo’s good side, then life is good
both for you and for him
and he’s all golden retriever energy about it, too; despite all the teasing
(the boys still talk about the time they gave Enzo an actual wagging tail when coming to speak to you in the hall)
Enzo’s hufflepuff trait is that he’s loyal through and through,
but he’s show why he’s a Slytherin if you give him the excuse

nirvana MTV unplugged doesn't need explaining as to why it's my favorite; it's an amazing album/performance and I'd sell my left kidney to time travel and see it.

Let me be controversial for a minute:
This is a horrible take and a fundamental misunderstanding of what fanfic writers are. As writers it is not our job to cater to anyone. Writing fanfiction is not a job, it is a hobby. If a fanfic writer is not getting personal enjoyment from their hobby they are in no way, shape, or form obligated to write whether it be for a certain fandom, a character, a trope, or whatever.
As a writer who accepts requests, I absolutely take into consideration what my audience might want, but am also perfectly transparent about the fact that I might choose to decline a request for any reason. To say it is my (or anyone else’s) “job” to “provide” is an absolutely insane level of entitlement.
If you, as a consumer, want to see more of something on your feed, be part of the solution. Write yourself. Send writers requests of things you’d like to see. Engage with fics you like so writers know they’re appreciated. Do not shit on writers and demand things of them that you are not willing or able to do yourself.

IMO this post does not require context because I am solely commentating on the two lines quoted. This post is not even directed solely at you but rather the community as a whole because I have been seeing this sentiment a lot again recently.
The whole point of making a new post was to intentionally separate this particular issue and to remind everyone that writers are providing fanfiction as a free service.
As for your post as a whole—as I reiterated to you multiple times, respectfully might I add, I do agree with your original point about Blaise being underrepresented. What I do not agree with is your attitude towards authors as displayed below.
I would urge you to think about who your original rant was supposed to persuade into writing more Blaise content. I would imagine it to be SB writers. But why would any of the SB writers be moved to create more content for you when many of your replies come across as rather entitled and combative? That is the point I am making. And again this is not just you specifically. I have seen this with people wanting more xm fics, xgn fics, specific rare ships across the different fandoms I am in.

I think this person is fundamentally misunderstanding or actively choosing to ignore WHY most people write fanfic. And it’s something I’ve seen more and more since 2020.
Fanfic is a labor of love to the source material, not something we do for notes/kudos/whatever. I think social media and fandom becoming more mainstream has horribly warped the view of it. Content creation of any kind is now often viewed as something akin to influencers that need to factor in audience retention for their paycheck. We don’t and more importantly CAN’T get paid for fanfic.
It did not used to be this way. If someone isn’t writing for a certain character, it’s more than likely because they just do not care for that character for whatever reason; they don’t want to engage in community celebration of them. And that’s perfectly reasonable.
Now my thoughts on the Blaise stuff:
I have since stopped writing for the SB but one of the hardest things about Blaise specifically was how god awful his characterization in the text is, which is to say, practically nonexistent. He’s barely more of a character than Theodore and the information we do have isn’t very compelling. He is not one of the scared 28, he doesn’t have any familial history with Voldemort or the first wizarding war, and he has only a handful of lines. His only characterization is being a vain, blood purist with a mother that kills her husbands for money.
This is because Joanne doesn’t care for writing POC at best and is racist at worst. She doesn’t understand nuance and many of her views are rooted in white supremacy. Are some people avoiding Blaise due to their own racism? Absolutely. Is it everyone and you get to shame them for it? Absolutely NOT. If you’re going to shame people for their writing, you are not entitled to space in fandom or the free work of others that are supposed to be part of your community.
All that to say, write whatever you want. Sorry for hijacking your post Celeste, ily 🫶
