He gave me mixtapes. And still, I hear him in all those great songs. He gave me love letters. And I don’t think I’ll ever forget his unbelievably neat handwriting. He played me lullabies with his guitar. And I can still hear the distant notes and harmonies. He used to pat my head or rest his chin on it. That’s probably why for me, tall guys have such an appeal. He used to declare his love and affection to me in public, and those moments can still raise blood on my face. We were so young, and such opposites. But it was real. It was everything all at once. To my first love, thank you. To have loved you and to have been loved by you, will always be a pleasure.

We had a question.

If the journey of an interior design student could manifest itself as a physical space - what would it look like? What would it feel like?

Most of us entered this field having absolutely no idea what we’ve signed up for.

And once we were in we had no idea how we would make it through, or what it would feel like once we finally made it through. (yes its THAT dramatic #damn.)

Kind of like a maze - you follow its twists and turns, you let go to its flow. You appreciate the experience in retrospect.

You figure yourself out as you push.through.

You realize you all create for different reasons.

You each shine differently.

But to light it all up, you shine together.
