MONDAY FUNK!

@sunairway - Activity 2

I had a hard time deciding which song to post because Sun Airway's Soft Fall is amazing from 1 to 11. We decided to go with Activity 2 because it's absolute perfection and the lack of words makes it even better because the song has so many elements intricately placed throughout it that the music really just speaks for itself.

And the beat is really freaking groovy.

THROWBACK THURSDAY!

@cutoffyourhands - Shorelines

You don't have to cut off your hands, but you'll want to yell at the top of your lungs when you hear this song. Cut Off Your Hands released Shorelines on their EP Happy As Can Be back in 2008. There's this anthemic quality on the EP that I find so captivating, and there's just something about their music overall that makes me feel like we'd have an amazing time at their show. Unfortunately, I wasn't hip to this incredible band back when Happy As Can Be first dropped, but we're throwing it back to them today because I wish I had been. Luckily for me and the rest of us believers (both new and old), these guys didn't stop at Shorelines. So we'll keep our fingers crossed for some tour dates, and we'll cross them twice for some of those dates to be in the US.

HUMP DAY, HUMP DAY! SHAKE YOUR RUMP DAY! 

@butterflyb - 5678!

What better song could there be for Hump Day than a song with a countdown for a title and an exclamation mark at the end? Butterfly Boucher put an awesome jam together, labeled it 5678!, and completely made my life. I love a song that I can dance to, sing along with and really feel the lyrics and the beat all over. 

"The sky is falling, yes it's true; been falling since I fell for you. The feeling of deja vu; no one does it like you do." 

The clapping, the counting, the drums, the catchy hook, the the vocals, the everything - it's just great music and a good time.
