iHeartRadio has announce that it will allow for a paid on demand music subscription. The company is known as a free, all-in-one digital radio service that enables its users to listen to their favorite live stations or create custom stations featuring songs from artists they select and similar music. iHeartRadio has strong roots in modern radio by currently owning 88 stations, this move to create an app is solely for the larger purpose of the listening audience having the capability to hear radio on the computer or mobile device. The app allows its users to listen to more than 1,500 live radio stations from coast-to-coast, including pop, country, urban, rock, talk, and college. The I HeartRadio Plus subscription will cost 4.99 per month and will be able to playback songs they hear on the radio as much as their hearts desire. iHeartRadio also has the more robust product with All Access, which costs 9.99 per month and includes all of the Plus features, but also has the capability to listen offline and the ability to create playlists from the full library.
iHeartRadio is doing great brings with music and only time will tell if people will become attached to this idea or if they will flock to competitors like Pandora Apple or Spotify
