I am please to announce that I am drawing a bunch of title cards for a podcast, starting at episode 7! On Tuesday i contracted a really nasty, painful ear infection. On Wednesday, my doctor told me that it was very impressive, and that usually she ‘didn’t see ones this bad.’ She then told me I was very good at getting ear infections.

Friends and family started telling me how talented I am at ear-infection-getting. A coworker told me that if there was an award for ear-infection-getting, she would nominate me. The joke wrote itself essentially. Ha ha! I am in so much pain!

This is not a week for silly comics. My heart has been shattered this week, for various reasons, but most of all for the murder of Jordan Edwards. All lives matter, but it seems to me as of late that to many of the people and policemen of America, black lives matter much less than others. And they need this reminder, that black lives do in fact matter as much as the lives of any other people. Otherwise the profiling and killing of these innocent men, women, and children, and the destruction of families and communities, will never stop. We must recognize ourselves in the eyes of those who look different from us, so that we may stand by and for the oppressed, and bring better understanding, compassion, and justice to this world. Nothing will change if we do not.

My heart is with the family of Jordan Edwards. Change must come.
