Always a Ray of Sunshine // Thom and Shiloh
Shiloh kicked her shoes off, pulling off her socks along with them as she looked around at the land. The one thing she did love about that mansion was the surrounding land. It was peaceful and rather beautiful, making it hard to completely hate the current residence. “I don’t know, some of ‘em seem pretty content on just stayin’ in for as long as possible.” Shiloh pulled at her tank top, letting it drop on the towel right beside her shoes. “Oh, I get that. Ain’t simple and got too much to it. Makes it seem uncomfortable and I feel like I’ve gotta walk a mile to get to the kitchen when I need midnight munchies.” She joked, an easy laugh leaving her and it felt like things were back to normal. She wasn’t having to keep serious, keep worrying about everything. Being outside, she was obviously still on guard and keeping an eye out, but she could relax at the same time. The blonde shimmied out of her shorts, tossing them onto the pile of clothes she’d made. “Had it with me.” Shiloh admitted, setting her hands on her hips with an apologetic expression. “I ain’t stupid enough to go anywhere without it, but I didn’t feel like answerin’ since I just needed to be alone. Probably would have texted you back a while later if Zach hadn’t found me. Although now he knows how to get to my hidin’ spot and that’s a damn shame.” Shiloh cracked a smile again.
"I’d always rather be outside, workin’ on my bike or runnin’ around. I’m definitely not a house dog," Thom said with a smirk. He hadn’t had much of a chance to get out and have fun, whether by himself or with Shiloh or Zach. This time of year he liked to take his mountain bike through the trails in Table Rock, the ground still wet and soft from the snow. Any excuse to get muddy was a good enough excuse for Thom. But between the lockdown and whatever was mauling people in the park, Thom had to go without. It would be nice to get into the water and splash around for a while, but for now Thom was content to lay in the sun next to Shiloh. "I ain’t ever been inside a house this big before," Thom admitted with a shake of his head. "And yeah, we’re all together, but the place is so spread out I feel like I never see anyone outside of boot camp." He reached over to the chips, taking another handful of them. He listened and ate while Shiloh explained her little disappearing act, nodding his head. "All you had to do was say ‘not now, Fathead’ and I woulda got the picture," he told her. "Don’t make me worry like that. What were you doin’ hidin’ anyway?"
