RICHARD ARMITAGE in BERLIN STATION (2017) 04 202

MALEANTE. Daniel’s intel to Berlin Station is that Otto Ganz ordered Simtex, a type of plastic explosive, and wants it 3 days before the German election. Back at the hacienda Hector makes a beeline for the liquor in the wine cellar, tells Daniel about Armando & Lena. Hector wants to act; Daniel brushes it off. Daniel also tells Hector how he found him, that he knows his “retirement” is bullshit. He presses Hector. “I can’t do this without you. WE get a win,” meaning NOT Thomas Shaw, BfV or CIA. “You and me.” Daniel knows his weaknesses. Fuck you, Daniel.

Hector invites Otto Ganz to spend the night, since it’s now too late to go to the airport. Daniel wants more game? He’ll give him more game. Otto is cooking. Lena & Armando are in the pool. Hector keeps on drinking alcohol, his only way to cope with this shitshow. Then Lena finds Armando’s secret phone SIM, tells papa. Over dinner, Daniel & Hector talk Otto up with politics, pump for terrorist plot details. What happens instead is the alcohol gets the best of Hector (again) and he argues vehemently with a drunk Otto over his ridiculously redundant & repugnant nazi manifesto. And keeps on drinking. Daniel uses Lena’s distress over her father’s drinking to get closer to her, more rapport, maybe get intel this way. He feels he’s nearly gotten her to open up when she gets a phone call she says she has to take. Spell broken.
