Lily: Okay? Is everything alright, Thomas? You're worrying me
Thomas: No, no don't worry. I love you. Always. I'm making chicken tacos.

Lily: I know, Thomas. I do too.
Lily: We won't let it happen. He's got us.
Thomas: Can we have lunch? There's something I need to tell you about him. Somewhere private? Meet me at the house and I'll cook for you. I'm going to take the rest of the afternoon off.
Text @ Lily
Lily: I know.
Lily: I spend as much time with him as I can and lord knows he's been amazing with me, I can't tell you how much of a help he is, but I know.
Thomas: I can't lose him, and I can't let him wind up like Mariel. I love him far too much to let that happen.

Lily: Why? Everything okay?
Thomas: He's lonely, I think. We had a chat the other night, and it's been weighing on me since then. I asked him how he was and the only thing he could give me was a line about Netflix updating their movie queue.

Thomas: I'm worried about Michael.
Morning Joe || Thomas & Cree
Cree laughed softly. She had wondered what career Thomas would go to after he fell. Now, she saw there wouldnât have been any other option. âSounds like more fun than a barrel of drunken monkeys. I thought you were a detective though. Why are they putting you on security?â She didnât understand much of human law enforcement. It hadnât been something she studied. âI donât think itâs the place for me. I prefer the quiet. And to keep the amount of groping I endure to a minimum.â
Thomas chuckled, "There's nothing wrong with a good groping. It all depends on who's doing the groping."Â He shook his head, finally just giving up on the coffee all together and pushing it off to the side. "The CPD isn't that big, so when something like this comes along it's all hands on deck. The people that organize it can't afford the amount of security they need, and someone has to do it so..."Â He let his voice trail off, indicating that they'd drawn the short stick. "I'm kinda stuck."
Ghost of the Past || Cree/Thomas
She caught the faint scent of the Divine that signaled another fallen and then saw Thomas come up beside her. She gave him a half-hearted smile, and considered lying. But if anyone would understand, he would. âMy fall. I thought Iâd accepted it and that I could ignore the pain of knowing what I lost.â She looked out at the battlefield, imagining the cannons and the soldiers. âThen I met Pascharâs daughter. The girl I fell to save.â
"Lily told me," Thomas said, a small, resigned sigh escaping him. "Cree, you're a good woman. What you did, I'd like to think I would have done it too, but...I'm not sure that I would have. That makes you a definitively better person than me."Â He would have hugged her if he weren't dripping with sweat. Instead he just reached out a hand and brushed it along her arm. "What are you going to do now?"
Wild Side || Thomas & Gia
Gia took the picture in her perfectly manicured hand, looking it over. Average looking male. Wouldnât prove a hard find or catch. âI like to help people who catch my eye. If getting on your good side happens, then its just a bonus.â She flashed him a playful wink, extending her hand out to him, the picture at the end of her fingers. Being on his good side was her aim, but he didnât need to know that. He was a Fallen after all, not being on his good side would just be an opportunity passed that she couldnât risk. Get his trust. âGive me ten minutes and iâll have your guy. If you want my help that is.â
Normally Thomas would have told her to take a long walk off a short pier, but he didn't want to be here any longer than he had to be. "Sure thing, doll. In exchange, I'll get your next speeding ticket tossed out, but that's as far as this favor's gonna go."Â The last thing Thomas needed was a Demon thinking he owed them one.
Dance Like No Ones Watching || Poppy/Thomas
Poppy stopped short. Her face fell, eyes immediately shinning with unshed tears that she refused to let drop. âYou, you do?â Poppyâs voice was barely above a whisper, he voice getting hoarse. She dropped her iPod on the floor along with her yoga bag and mat. âPlease tell me, have you seen him? I.. IâŠâ Her voice trailed off, the words wouldnât come out of her mouth. If this guy had seen her father, maybe he could get him to a message, tell her father that she needed him.
Thomas didn't know what to say, and was mentally kicking himself for saying anything at all. She looked so much like Anahadiel though - the hair, that same expression. It took him a second to regroup, and he didn't even know how much the Nephilim knew. "I...uh...I do. Listen, um. I have some work to do really quick, but would you want to go get a cup of coffee afterward and talk? It's late, but City Diner is still open."
Darkest Before Dawn || Thomas and Michael
As much as Michael tried to keep Thomas out of trouble, he loved the wicked grin he got when he was up to no good. It was always that grin that caused Michael to break in the first place. But when the conversation turned to Turning, Michael kept his silence. It would be bliss to have his powers back again, but he couldnât betray those he loved. He had to be strong with Thomas, for Lily, and now for the baby, Cree, and Mariel. Too much depended on him. He couldnât allow himself to be selfish. He snapped back to attention at Thomasâ question, smiling slightly. âHmm? Oh, well enough. Busy arguing with board members about repairs for the bridges in the city. Netflix updated their movie listening and Iâm pretty excited about that.â He said with a laugh, before trailing silent once he saw the look on Thomasâ face. His heart fluttered slightly in his chest, but he tried his best to quell it. âWhat? Is there drool on my face?â He asked, reaching a hand up to wipe away at his mouth.
Over the course of their eons together, Thomas had stopped looking at Michael as just as friend. He was an extension of Thomas, a part of his very being, and to hear him talking of netflix queues like it was the most important thing going on in his life broke the Fallen's heart. He shouldn't be here. But he was, and the guilt that Thomas' felt about it was beating an erratic rhythm in his heart. It always would. Reaching out slowly, he pushed back a errant curl, and smiled a little sadly. "No. No drool. You're perfect as always."
Dance Like No Ones Watching || Poppy/Thomas
Poppy walked out of her dorm room and popped her earphones in, volume turned up loud. Looking around, Poppy noticed no one was in the corridor, so she began to dance wildly. Flipping her hair and acting silly. Poppy danced down the hallway making it to the end. At the end of the hallway she tried to moonwalk and ended up moon walking right into someone. Jumping and yanking her earphones out, she whipped around. âOh my gosh I am so sorry, and very, very much embarrassed.
Thomas had an appointment with one of Heather Morris' roommates to discuss the girl's ex-boyfriend. He had his head down, thumbing through his phone to find the girl's dorm room number. The collision with another body wasn't something he'd been expecting. He let out an 'oof' and bent double as the air was knocked out of him. Sucking in a deep breath, the Fallen caught the scent of a Nephilim and looked up into a face that was oh-so-achingly familiar. "I know your father."Â The words slipped out before he even realized what he was saying.
âMaking fun of me for being uneducated? Thatâs awfully mean.â she widened her eyes, titling her chin down. âSome of us had very troubled childhoods.â as experienced as the angel may think he is, she thought, theyâre always pretty predictable in battle. Not to mention that he was fallen, much less powerful than her, and easy to kill. She could wait for a moment when he wasnât with his dear wife, like a moment as so, and slit the girlâs th- Temp giggled and covered it with a cough. Behave, she told herself. We donât wanna anger no preachmen. âYou didnât answer my question, as well. How ever will I learn?
"Aren't you guys supposed to be nicer to people? Hardly makes one want to give up their soul when you come at them like this."  Thomas shook his head, letting out a tsking sound. "Go learn from someone else if you're so curious. I'm sure my sister would just love to talk to you all about it."  Thomas grabbed his order, thanking the bartender. Stopping in front of the red-haired Demon he smiled down at her, all sugar and sweetness. "You have a nice day now, sweetheart. Stay outta trouble."  Not waiting for her to respond, Thomas turned and headed for the door.Â
Shopping Time//Delilah & Thomas
Delilah rubbed his back. âItâs going to be okay.â She pulled away, holding him at arms length by his shoulders. âI have heard it is difficult to resist, but I know youâre strong enough. You have your wife to help you, and I will help you in any way I can. You wonât Turn.â
"You can't help me that way, Dina. I have to fight that fight on my own. What you can do, however, is watch out for yourself down here. This place is crawling with Demons. Sarathiel, my sister, is here. After she Turned...well, it wasn't pretty. She blames me for it, and I suppose in a way she's right. Just make sure you keep your head on straight."  Thomas picked up the bag, hugging the Angel one more time. "See you around, okay?"Â
Wild Side || Thomas & Gia
A small, little playful smirk tugged at her lips. âYou are correct. Well, iâm not exactly trouble, more of-â She paused, searching for the right word. â-fun.â She finished off with a small click of her tongue. âThough, I make it my business to make sure people know me. Looks like iâm doing quite well.â Gia crossed her arms, tilting her head as he spoke. âWell this place is full of humans. Canât say if I have seen him or not. Whatâs he look like? Iâm sure a girl like me can find a guy pretty easily in this place and it wonât be hard to get him away from his wife.â Her words were soft and sultry as she indirectly offered her help. It was for her gain though. Turn the man in and she was sure heâd hand over his soul to her in exchange for a promise of freedom. Not that she was going to exactly keep to it, but well, itâd be too late then for him to take it back.
Thomas passed the picture over to her, taking note of her comment about it not being hard to get him away from his wife. He didn't know if it was said for his benefit or not, but either way he chuckled. "You always this helpful, doll? Or is this just a way to get on my good side?" Â In a way, the Demons like the one in front of him were worse than the ones that spit vitriol...because it was so easy to believe the lies - especially when they had a pretty face to back up them up.Â
âOh, Iâm self confident enough to not need it.â she smiled, stirring her drink and narrowing her eyes. Wasnât this one the one thatâd gotten a human pregnant? Very interesting. Pregnancy normally disgusted Temp, but this was a gold mine for all sorts of innocently harmful things to say. She frowned, as if in confusion. âSo tell me, do you let people whoâve had Nephilim into heaven? Or will your human lover be taking a one way road to hell? Weâd love have her.â
Thomas had spent eons in charge of the soldiers in Heaven; he'd killed so many Demons that he'd lost count. In that time he'd learned not to let anything they said get under his skin. This Demon was no threat to Lily; not even on her best day, as far as he was concerned. Instead of rising to the challenge, which is what she wanted, Thomas just leveled coolly amused eyes at her and smiled. "You know, for a Demon, you're woefully uneducated about how things work. You should read a book; I hear Mariel has plenty."Â
