Our hearts are extremely heavy. Leo and I learned today that an amazingly talented friend and beautiful supporter, Kip, @dostmotherknowyou on tumblr, passed away after their long battle with cancer. Kip was not only an amazing artist who made all the art shown above, but was also one of the sweetest people we have ever talked to. We had only talked online, but their spirit shone so brightly, and all the love they showed towards me and Leo was so beautifully astounding.

We had hoped to see Kip at the most recent Playlist, but their cancer started to get worse, and prevented them from coming. We did our best to send Kip words of encouragement whenever they needed it. Needless to say, it was a tear-filled morning, and we’re still feeling the pain from this loss. But there is no doubt that Kip left a beautiful mark on this world while they were here. Their artwork will be cherished by me and Leo always and I know the people who knew them will always hold those memories dearly. Goodbye, Kip, you lovely, lovely human being. You made our days so many times, and we will always remember you as the beautiful beam of sunshine that you were.
