CFP Examination Transitions to Computer-Based Testing
Employed at Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated, Thomas Zenovic is registered to offer advisory services in 16 states. Thomas Zenovic is also a certified financial planner (CFP) who provides pension consulting and security portfolio management. Beginning November of 2014, the CFP examination will be administered through computer-based technology. Offering convenience to future certified financial advisors, computer-based testing (CBT) will be available three times a year for one-week periods. Streamlining the testing process, CBT provides easy test scheduling and efficient examination execution. CFP candidates will visit their chosen site to complete their testing, and prior to leaving, will receive unofficial exam results. Final results are delivered to the test taker online within 10 business days. Individuals seeking to complete a written exam may do so by registering for the final pen-and-paper test by June 10th. The examination is scheduled for July 18-19, 2014. Among industry peers and financial clients, CFP certification signifies a high level of competency in financial planning.
