hello! fellow nirvana fan THAT SONG DID NOT BELONG IN THE SLIGHTEST, it wasn't the topic or vibe of the film, like just bc you slow down and make a song more intense doesn't make it the perfect soundtrack 😭 I was at the cinema just listening and going like ?? WHY ??

LITERALLY IT WAS SO AWFUL I STILL HAVEN'T WATCHED THE MOVIE BC OF IT. I saw someone say like oh it's a symbol of how she didn't get to experience the stereotypical american teenager life blah blah like first of all the song isn't like. meant to glorify the american teen stereotype it reads pretty clearly as a mockery of it and second of all slowing it down and having it sung in cursive is so like. predictable, I guess the word is? like IF you're going to use smells like teen spirit don't be a coward about it!!! put the whole thing in!!!! give us some dissonance!!!!!
