1) no one under twenty-one. sorry. i am over thirty. MDNI under any circumstances.

2) romantic interaction and shipping are not a priority, though it could happen. michael is not romantic, but he is possessive and obsessive.

3) don't bring antiship/proship discourse to me.

4) i follow back based on interest. i can crossover most anything w/michael (or my feat. side muses).

5) i like to do a lot of memes and inbox roleplay primarily, as well as shorter threads. i am fine with turning memes/asks into threads. i will occasionally do multi-para.

6) content warnings: literally anything you'd see in the horror genre, especially in the halloween series. violence, gore, psychological terror, stalking, etc.

7) the big one: there is a lot of hinted/implied and outright incest in halloween, especially with the thorn timeline and lore. i'm on the side of 'proship', so this doesn't bother me. note: i'm not here looking for partners to write incest w/me, but it will be referenced and discussed on my blog. i'll tag the posts as "incest tw" and "incest cw" but that's about it for tagging.

michael is violent, he is incapable of empathy, and he is a serial killer. i won't be tagging blood and violence in every post.

take it up with john carpenter, debra hill's estate, and/or moustapha akkad's estate, not me. i didn't make the series — i am just a fan of the series.

8) lastly, very little formatting or aesthetics, and i don't use icons (but you can). if anything, i like to make gifsets and edits, but i don't gussy up my writing with anything other than my writing. besides, michael mostly wears a mask, so there's no point.

additionally, each character will have their appropriate tags, so there should be no confusion. i do make my own gifs and cap my own videos, though. i sometimes make aesthetic edits from those.

For the portrayal meme - For a primarily silent character you are still able to write him being able to communicate effectively and you do it so skillfully! I love reading all your hcs and replies because I'm so enthralled by your exploration of Michael's mind and his motivations. He's still very much a threat as The Shape but there's still that glimmer of the little boy Michael used to be deep beneath the surface.

The old thing bares its teeth, each violet knife aglow like a neon sign in the dark, dankness of a rotting cityscape. It sways on long legs, three eyes, three eyes always watching. It sees. Sees this thing as it is. It is not flesh and bone.

This thing is an imitation. A thing dressed in the shape of a person. A shape, a shape, a shape. Twisted and warped within, but so mundane externally.

Samhain is one of shetheyits favorite times. The barrier between worlds is at its thinnest. When shetheyit can roam freely and feel more of the power taken from them as they were cast down.

It cranes its head downward, all seeing eye taking in everything the shape-thing is. It tries to feel into the shape-thing’s mind, but alas, it is well guarded. It tries to feel within at the emotions it carries, hoping for a morsel of something horrid to feast upon. But the shape-thing’s soul…if it has one…is akin to a bear trap.

Shetheyit recoils.

Everything in this shape-thing is a void. A black hole that consumes all it touches and renders it to nothing. But despite this, theyitshe grins. Saliva oozes from its eternally hungry maw.

Michael stares with hollow, black eyes at the thing in front of him. It is the shape of a thing, and he is the shape of a man. If lions are only lions, then gods are only gods, so shapes...can only be shapes.

He is unmoving. Do what it wants, what it wills.

Recoil, run away, leave. It does not matter. The Boogeyman follows in the shadows, on the edges of dead leaves, and in gasping gusts of autumn's final breaths.

Fascinating? No. Michael is not fascinating. He is not anything. He is nothing, devoid of feeling, reason, or logic. While it is descriptive and colorful, he is also clever, malicious, curious, and even childish. Were this a game, Michael would expect to win, allowed or natural. Most know better. This thing does not, and he is not afraid upon its examination of him—as he has been surveyed before—but he is tilting his head, listening to hear something far away.

Fun? There is no fun for Michael. No one understands. This hurts him. It only hurts. It always hurts. But he feels nothing, so there is no perceived pain, only a private loneliness and an aching nostalgia.

Will summer ever end—?

the intimacy of this kill [h6]; nurse mary (or midwife mary) is one of my absolute favorite girls of the series. she's in it very briefly, dies quickly, but is a crucial part of jamie's escape. i find the way michael lingers on this kill quite reminiscent of bob's death in h1, but also speaks a lot to the way he operates and sees the world. the closing of her eyes is unusual for him. michael doesn't typically work like that, he doesn't care. he wants to see what happens after his brutality, he does not enforce gentleness.

michael is fond of women's fear, which can be interpreted as pathetic or helpless.
